Fixing illegal immigration...in 5 easy steps!

This is a solution to illegal immgration and all the problems they cause in 5 easy steps.

1. End all benefits to illegal aliens, that includes Martians without an interstellar visa.

2. Build two double layer fences, one on the southern border and one on the northern border.

3. Strengthen the Border Patrol, and arm them. They should not have to be safeguarding our nation defenseless.

4. End anchor babies, chain-migration etecetera etcetera.

5. Deport every single illegal alien to their home country. They want to immigrate that's fine, but they do it legally.

And now the illegal immgration problem is fixed. Crime rates will plummet and taxes will go down.

MrsP here's another one we agree on. I have advocated your # 3 for a long time. It does two things at once, stops hiring and they go home to Mexico. You are partially right on libs. They want them legalized for the Democratic votes the will get. The Republican elite want them for the cheap labor. The taxpayers and real Republicans want what you, CPB and I want.

Interesting how this blog and following debate has become a mecca for trashing the left. How very grown up of you gentlemen. Instead of coming up with ridiculous asinine ideas how about a few real ones?

1. Make an amendment to the constitution about citizenship. Citizenship should no longer be automatic if the child is born on US Soil. The child will only be deemed a citizen of the US if one of the birth parents is a US citizen. Maternity would not have to be proven (it's obvious why, unless the birth was not witnessed by an accredited medical professional who has signed a sworn affidavit attesting to witnessing the birth) Paternity (if it's the father who is the American) will have to be proven. Exceptions to this is if the parent is a refugee (who is here legally), a permanent resident alien (also to be proven), or in cases of congressional approval if the parents do not meet any other criteria. Anyone who is here illegally, on vacation, student visa, work visa, or anything else that does not establish permanent residency that leads to legal citizenship; any child born to them during the time of their residency cannot be deemed a US Citizen and is not eligible to apply for US Citizenship for 18 years after they exit the country. They will be deemed citizens of their parent(s) birth country. (Harsh I don't care, don't come here to become baby making factories)

2. Anyone who has explicitly come to this country to conceive or give birth shall be deported immediately. Gestation, due date and entrance into the country will be deciding factors to determine if a crime was committed.

3. Harsh penalties will be imposed on anyone caught hiring illegals. Penalties will include confiscation of land, harsh tax penalties, confiscation of business, forced closure of business, felony charges, stiff fines, forced bankruptcy, etc.

4. Border patrol needs to be increased and they need to be heavily armed.

5. Electric fences should be set in place as well as wall construction. So that we will not only have a concrete wall in place but there will also be electric rods and fencing draping both sides of the the wall, to ensure that survival is at a minimum for anyone stupid enough to try and scale the wall. The electricity supplied to the fences should be supplied by border prisons. So that any prison located within 100 miles of the wall would be converted into a mini power plant to supply electricity to the wall and near by towns at a fraction of the cost of normal power plants.

Any other real suggestions?

Ahh, no. You wouldn't be able to make that happen. The left-wing media would be up in arms against you not to mention Big Lobby, Big Union etcetera etcetera. Entitlements are the Alpha and Omega for the left. So to get around their hypocritical positions you have to be very clever.

I would start by making Social Security optional (Which would pretty much be the death knell for it.). And put in very, very stiff penalties for Medicare and Medicaid fraud. Now these programs would be sustainable after you get the Illegals out. But if interstate insurance sales were allowed (And in this scenario that's long done.) the bottom would drop out of insurance prices and these programs would soon be extremely expensive compared to private plans. So there THEY go, and the surprise is that would only take a few years to complete. As the Free Market is faster than a greased cheetah strapped to a bullet train.

You could solve the problem with number one but it should state, "Eliminate all benefits - period." When the welfare recipients and unemployed are forced to become gardeners, busboys, dishwashers, pickers, etc. There will be no use for the illegals.

Right now if I want any work done around my ranch I have two choices: illegals or do it myself. There are plenty of unemployed legal citizens in my town but they aren't knocking on my door for work, they are down at the welfare office or unemployment office picking up checks.


Oh! you say, we have to give them free money because their children will starve. I have a feeling if their children are starving they will turn off Jerry Springer, crawl off the sofa and reluctantly go to work. If not, then at least I'm not feeding their children.

Great ideas, and it would save material for the Northern fence. Oooh, now I can leap for the Fully-Automatic 40mm autocannons on the inner fence. Although you didn't solve the Illegal Martian problem. Damn Aliens running around with their death rays (Which is really an exaggeration since all they do is paint "DEATH" on the target in neon red paint. Damn extraterrestrial hoodlums.). Or are we supposed to feed them to the crocs on slow days?

1) Dig a trench across the entire US/Mexico border, at least 200 feet wide and 500 feet deep. This will provide jobs to people who are out of work.

2) Take the earth dug from the trench up to New Orleans. This will help deal with the soft sinking ground and can be used for additional levy re-enforcement.

3) Fill the trench with water from the oceans. This will reduce so-called global warming from flooding the coasts.

4) Move salt-water crocodiles from endangered areas and place them in the new moat. This will give them a new habitat.

Problems solved. Anything else?
