This blog is very simple and therefore I'm going to keep it short. Abortion is wrong. See, simple? Now to the two most common arguments for it.
1: That it is a Personal Right. And that the Government has no right to outlaw it("Right" is used a lot to justify it, but isn't there a Right to Life that runs contradictory to it?). Wrong. It is the killing of a human being. Which is already outlawed. Or, to put it another way, it is preventing a human being from living because it would be an inconvenience. Now, the person having an abortion for those reasons...wouldn't they have had to think about why it would be an inconvenience? Now wouldn't that make it Pre-Meditated? The Pre-Meditated killing of a human being? Hmm, wish the name was shorter.
2: That it isn't right to make an un-wanted child be born. That it might be neglected, that it might be abused, that it might suffer, that it might experience some sort of misfortune. That it is more compassionate to just kill it. Am I the only one who sees how screwed up this reasoning is? "It might not lead the perfect childhood so let's kill it."? "It might at some point in it's life be sad so let's kill it."? Am I? So now killing someone because they might do something is now okay?
Does Life Begin?
Yes, yes. I know it sounds completely moronic but bear with me. Nancy Pelosi(Our Beloved Grand-Pontificator for the Socialist Motherland) in the same breath as calling herself a devote catholic(that is pure BS) said that nobody knows when life begins. I disagree, I believe that once that first cell divides into two it is a human life. It is growing, which means it must be alive; therefore the baby is alive once it starts growing. Even if you do not agree with this that little fetus/zygote once it starts growing can never be replicated. It is an individual the moment it starts growing. So how do you justify killing it?
And here's a chilling thought, if life never begins how can you end it? This would make murder legal, this would make it completely legal to do whatever you want. As since you don't exist how can you be punished? Our entire civilization could be completely decimated by one stupid*ss politician with hourly Botox injections. And she doesn't even care, know; or both. Has everyone in Cali lost their bloody minds?!?!?!? How can you elect an imbecile like her? Who says that life does not begin?
I hope everyone sees the error of their ways and votes her out of office.
Is it? Is it something that we can allow? I believe abortion, except for a few exceptions, is wrong. The Declaration of Independance says,
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Now if we are endowed with a right to Life would that not also be true for something that will become a human? Call it a zygote, call it a fetus, however I will call it a baby. And a human being, because if we do not protect our right to Life; we will lose it. Some may argue that since it is dependant upon it's mother for life for a time it is therefore subject to the will of it's mother. And not a living thing. However if this is true, are people being supported by Life Suport not humans? How about all the people a years ago who had polio and depended upon an Iron Lung? Were they not human?
Nancy Pelosi, in the same breath as calling herself a devote Catholic, said that no person knows when Life begins. If this were true are we not alive? Would this mean we can be aborted at the governments convience? Should we take the path of China? Allow every household one Male child, and abort all the others?
In essence, what I am asking is simple; should abortion be legal?
