Saying Rush Limbaugh’s comments of telling people not to donate to the people of Haiti is indefensible, just doesn’t seem to cover what he did. The adjective indefensible doesn’t seem to carry the power of what is needed to describe his statements. I was thinking words more inline with the magnitude of what he said would be words like evil, depraved, malevolent or frigorific rape of morality.
Rush is trying to make the excuse that he wasn’t saying not to donate, but not to donate to the government. That just doesn’t hold water. He’s trying to say that he wants us to donate in some other way. Just which way should that be, Rush? When we donated through the private sector the people of Haiti were being stiffed by Visa and MasterCard skimming money off the top. Maybe you should just come clean, admit that your statements were inexcusable and make a point to at least try to think before you open your big mouth again.
Being from the right, I have long been upset with Rush. It seems every time I defend this guy to the left, he ups the ante and makes me realize, the man does not speak for my values or the values of the sensible right. He will always have his Kool-aid crowd and I will always get e-mails blasting me when I speak critical of him. However, at some point, even the Kool-aid crowd must put down their glass pitcher and sober up to this man’s lack of common sense and humanity.
The truth is hundreds of millions of dollars ago, this man left us. He has long since been the man he was, when we first fell in love with him. Money changes people and that kind of money has changed the very roots of who this man is and where he came from. The Rush Limbaugh who was bankrupt working.....Read More:

I can’t think of any time in my life where I just looked out at the year in front of me with such negativity. Usually I’d be like most, thinking and hoping this next year will be better than the one before. Not this year my friends, not a chance would I lie to myself like that.
Watching this vast gulf grow between the suffering of our people and our government leaves me no hope left at all for 2010. Watching this government ignore the jobs problem and force mandatory health insurance down poor people’s throat is a little too much for me to bear. The rise in cost of almost everything from a gallon of eggnog to fuel accompanied with no jobs and raising foreclosures for millions of people, sets up a malicious trifecta of disaster for the American family.
There is little hope in sight for the next year. Watching this president make the rich richer and the poor poorer is not exactly the hope and change I was looking for in 2010. The decline of America and the slow extinction of the middle and working classes is an on going horror show to watch. I just don’t see how we turn this thing around. We have passed the tipping point and.......Read more

There was a young man sitting at the window looking out on a dreary day. Sitting in his big white house, he looked out into the distant, seeming lost in thought. The door opened and his Uncle walked in the room. He saw the young man sitting at the window and wondered what he was thinking about.
He walked up and asked, “what’s on your mind?”
The young man turned away from the foggy glass window and looked up. He said, ” I was thinking about what I wanted for Christmas.”
The Uncle asked him “what would you like this year” as he sat on a chair next to the young man.
“I would like war,” said the young man.
“War. Well, we have had that for the last eight years and we were thinking about something different for Christmas this year.”
The room fell silent and the young man dropped his head. The Uncle sat patiently for a while then the young man raised his head and looked his Uncle in the eye. He said, “No. I really want war for Christmas.”
The Uncle stared at him for a short while and then broke the silence again. “We were looking for some CHANGE this time for the holidays, war has gotten old and we are wrapping one up and the HOPE was to end the other soon.”
“But I want war!” said the young man as he stood from his chair.
The Uncle explained to him that the people we went to war with, weren’t even there anymore and the reason we started war all those years ago have changed. Still, the young man wanted war. The Uncle tried to explain that the people have grown tired of war and that there was no money for such a Christmas gift anymore. He told the young man that so many people were without jobs this Christmas and a lot of them have lost their homes. The young man started to walk towards the door, he turned around and looked at his Uncle and said. “I am the chosen one and I am the one we all have been waiting for; I want war.”
The Uncle said, “I am your Uncle and I will give you what you want for Christmas. Before I grant you this gift, you must know the people want HOPE and CHANGE this season.”
The young man said, “that’s what they want, I want war.”
The Uncle took his hand and walked him out of the room. They walked out side towards a helicopter pad.
“Where are we going?” asked the young man.
“Christmas shopping,” said the Uncle.
“Where do we shop for war?” asked the young man.
“West Point!” said his UNCLE SAM.

I read the article Time Magazine put out “The Decade From Hell” where they sat down and chronicled the last decade in America. I must confess, I didn’t even realize there were only weeks left in this decade. The article was a great one. It starts from the moment of the Y2K madness when we thought all our computers would crash and brought us through all that had happened this last decade.
When I look back at what happened to all of us from 9/11 to Hurricane Katrina and everything else, I must admit Time Magazine is right. I hope the name “Decade From Hell” sticks, because that is just what it was.
It was hands down the worst decade that America has had since the World War and Time Magazine’s optimistic assertion that we have no where else to go but up, might be misplaced. Thinking things were so bad that they can only get better seems more of a fairytale or wish one would make blowing out birthday candles. A more pragmatic lens might be that things may never be normal ever again.I’m not sure where America is headed, but until we start manufacturing things again and creating jobs, God knows where we are going to end up. For me watching those skyscrapers fall in the middle of the city I was born and watching those people in New Orleans clinging to their roofs was so shocking to me. These two events showed me that the country I thought I lived in was only an illusion. Until I take my last breath on this Earth, I will never get over those two events and how they forever affected me or the way I look at my country.
Top that off with watching friends and family lose their 401Ks, homes, jobs, businesses and self respect; well, I stand side by side with Time Magazine on calling this The Decade from Hell. Whether it was the Space Shuttle blowing up over Texas {which Time omitted} or a decade of horrific crimes against children, [also omitted] this was a decade I’d rather just file away in the history books.
Watching Wall Street mollycoddle in financial depravity, while I watched a family member lose a business of forty years when the credit dried up, was something to behold. Everything I knew or believed about my country was shattered forever. No ideology, religion or patriotic pep talk could ever blind me again to the axiom that my country was screwed up. Sacerdotal Conservatism spoken by the high priests of talk radio or right-wing intelligentsia could never again fool millions of us.
There is a reason why there are more Independents than there are Democrats or Republicans today. Millions of us woke up and aren’t going for that “don’t believe your lying eyes” routine. The voice in the wind of the Ghost of Ronald Reagan became a whisper. All that is left, my fellow.......Read more

Strange reading a title like that, isn’t it? Well it is true. There are more pro-life politicians in the Democrat Party then there are pro-choice. We all just watched that axiom surface over the health care debate.
The fight over abortion in the House of Representatives left no doubt of this fact. I would think a lot of people would be surprised to hear that. I would even wager that there are people who wouldn’t even believe that. However, people refuse to believe facts right in front of them all the time. This fact flies in the face of what people believe about the Democrat Party, so even its members might not have realized it yet.
Their official platform for the party is pro-choice, but even that might change in the future, because it does not reflect the make up of its people anymore. The obstreperous banner waving pro-choice branch of the party lost the debate within the party, but still has a hard time even realizing.....Read More

The President announced last week that he has put a contest together for all the states to compete with their public schools. The prize to be split up is four billion dollars with a capital “B.” Four billion dollars in a time of economic penuriousness.
The desire to do something about the condition of American education should be applauded. However throwing more money at this problem will not change a thing. How on Earth when we are broke, can we start a four billion dollar contest for anyone or anything?
This President and this political party in charge are like children with mommy and daddy’s credit card. They look at the United States Treasury as some unlimited source of money to do whatever they want. They do not have the slightest concern for t.....Read More:

I can’t tell you, the absolute rage I felt watching the mainstream press here in America covering the disaster at Ft. Hood. The minute they released his Muslim sounding name, we all knew the deal. Most of us just knew, before that name came out; that the name wouldn’t sound American. Watching the different networks dance once again at the Political Correct Ball, twirling around the obvious was maddening to anyone with a brain.
It didn’t take long before the salacious spin drifted into the woe is me mentality, when they started in on the story line....Read More

We all heard statements like “This is Obama’s War” or “This is Obama’s recession” and many statements that are made by people to transpose Bush’s nightmares upon him. These kinds of comments are meant to portray the idea that after a while there is no more excuse for him or no way he can just keep blaming Bush for everything. All of it of course deserved, because never before in American history have we ever seen a US President keep blaming the guy before him to such a degree.
Most presidents, of course, have done this but never to the level of President Obama and his crybaby opera that he has been singing since before he was even sworn in. Of all the Bush problems that was passed down to this crybaby of a president of ours, nothing and I mean nothing, was more devastating to Bush then the Katrina aftermath. How on earth Obama could transpose that Bush apathy that was so singularly George’s identity and wrap himself in that cloth of failure is beyond me. However that is just what Obama did.
That trip to.......Read More

The President of The United States of America hoped aloud, that after the incident in Massachusetts he wanted all of us to start talking about race. He ostensibly yearns for an honest discussion about race relations in America. The problem with that is that it seems almost impossible. Clearly what I’m seeing is he is desirous of a frank and honest discussion about the state of race relations in our beloved country. Yet how could this be possible, when the discussion seems to be one of how bad the white man is and the digging up of the slave days.
It seems to me that minorities want this discussion as long as the argument leans towards how bad the white man is and not an honest look of all of our contributions to this lack of harmony. White people left and right are forced into a politically correct corner, where we have to take the part of the villain and hang that anathema around our collective necks. I have sat back since we have elected our first black President, which was only possible with white votes and.............Read more:

You know enough time has transpired to at least give a puissant look at the first leg of this man’s presidency. As time goes by, one can’t help but notice what a big yawn it all has been. With all of the hubbub that brought him into power, you would think we’d have something to measure here. However, he hasn’t really done anything. The man literally glides through the executive branch like some reality show winner, enjoying the fruits of his win, but never really actually doing the job itself.
It has been mind blowing to watch him delegate all of his responsibilities to other people. There has been absolutely no form of leadership from the guy at all. Even his own party............ Read more:
