believe in the constitution, bill of rights and small government. That however does not mean I believe in total individual authority. I beleive government has a purpose. I think republicans have lost there way from where they once stood. Take a look at Barry Goldwater also. That may shed some light into your learning. A lot of so called libertarians could almost be considered anarchists. Read about the libertarian movement here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarianism. They are a bit too much free radicals if you know what I mean. I hope this makes sense to you.
