Like everyone else in 2008, i was glued to the election. I was also keeping track of all the promises Obama/ McCain were making. Now Obama has won,sworn in,And had a chance to lead. I look at the promises made and kept. 95% of people see a tax decrease-YTH-(yet to happen). Guantanimo bay YTH, transperancy YTH, Health care reform YTH, no lobbyists in White House YTH, Fix economy YTH, Put Americans back to work YTH. I could go on but you get the point. But the worst, and the most overlooked one is decreaseing the deficit. With spending like this, i am not sure if America can really survive anymore. And yes Obama did promise to cut spending, get rid of earmaked bills,and keep costs under control. YTH we are all waiting for promise#!1 of 1000 to be kept.

Obama only presented one promise that I cared about, which was why I voted for him: he is not George W. Bush. That's enough for me.

... And if you're so mad about the deficit, how come it wasn't bothering you when Duhbya was spending a billion dollars a week down a hole in Iraq? At least Obama's spending is domestic, and we all get something from it. Every dollar spent in Iraq was like flushing it down the toilet. With Obama we get jobs, infrastructure, enrgy independence, and health care. You liked Bush's spending more? Not too smart...

Also, time for a little history review to keep things in perspective. Republican Hoover presides over the Crash and the Great Depression. Democrat Roosevelt gets us out of it. Republican Reagan causes the largest defecit in US history (until Bush). The Democrats pull us out of it. Democrat Clinton balances the budget for the first time in generations and produces the largest surplus in history. Republican Bush spends it all and puts us into the biggest deficit hole ever in the history of the planet. So, who ya gonna trust with the economy? - (Answer honestly, with rational thinking, and not out of your butt.)
