What do you think? Because most of American no longer has anything remotely resembling independent or original thought, and depends on the media and government press releases to tell them what to think, what do you think they're going to think? They're going to think what the media and guv press releases tells them to think. The same thing your party tells you to think which is in disagreement with what Obama's party tells its sheeple to think. What do you think? honestly I don't want to scoff the newer pres but just because he's black doesn't make him a marter. And lincoln wasn't all that and a bag of frito's. He freed the slaves yea which is great but he also owned them!!!!! but yea what has the president done yet? oh yea nothing!!!!! I'm sure he's trying I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt but come on a black dog wasn't gonna make things worse named BEAU or however they spell it. I instantly thought of Bo Jingles when I heard that. I had faith and hope till that freakin dog it kills me. I actually feel for the animal. I hope he can clean the blood and poo off the floor after Bush basically pissed out his a*s and bleed after flossing all over us!!! I did love the speeches though!!!! DarylWashington (Republican) - 11 months agoIt is a true disservice to compare Obama to MLK or Lincoln. I first must say this. I am proud that America has taken the chance to vote for a Black man. However that is it. Obama has done great things in his life, however he did not change the hearts of many. He has not paved a way for intolerance. This has been done already. He has stopped the view that America can not see past color. Even though we know all presidents are just front men. I hate the fact that my whole ethnic group will be judge on how he controls the white house and its policies. See this will be human nature. He has a lot of work that must be done, being the first person ,as a president that was not Caucasian. This would also happen if we had a hispanic, or etc. So we must forget his color now. Get past that stop talking about it, its old now. We need to judge him on what he does for America and her people. THAT IS IT!!!!! hepsy 11 months ago

There will always be the ones to make a fuss, but it is, I think, his politics and conduct in front of US and the world that speaks louder than his mother's and father's ancestors. As has been pointed out, he is as much white as he is black. And historians claim Presidents Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge had Black ancestors. (I don't know, I wasn't there :)) As for his skin color, I kind of wish he was green and pink stripes so we'd really have something to talk about. DarylWashington (Republican) - 11 months ago

He leads a life for himself and his loved ones first and humanity second. Every man governs according to his own interest. You ask me what do I see as their differences. First a foundation starts off with the cornerstone. This is the most important piece of a house. It is shaped and molded precisely to hold weight. The difference now is, President Obama now is the weight that is on the cornerstone. If he is properly placed and all sides are even, the foundation will not crack. He is the finished product of the declaration of independence and the bill of rights. Now remember the house can fall, but it takes more to break the foundation. So I hope you now understand the difference between them three. hepsy 10 months ago

The cornerstone, foundation and house is an apt analogy. You're right, it takes a bit to break the … Show full post When I spoke about how Obama is the product of the Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights, I am speaking about the final definition of independence. America finally showed human rights. It has showed that the declaration is not just a paper anymore. I know we showed this many years ago, with the abolishing of slavery, desegregation and etc. However, we finally showed that the White House is for Any Free born American. Now I am not going to lie here. I am a proud Black Republican. I surely know that Obama is very very lucky. He was positioned to be in the spot he has. There wasn't any other choice to have. The Republican party had killed themselves the last 8 years, and there was no way America would have put one in the office. Statistically there has never been one party that controlled the house for 12 years or more in a row. So Obama was basically the less evil. Sorry to say he was a substitute. Now that he made it he has the same job every other President had. He must bring jobs to people like me, that lost everything because of the economy. He must represent America as a friend and helper to all. I truly believe America should put America first for one year. We can sustain our political power even if we don't give a dime to another country. So Mr. President, can you do for America what no other President can? I bet not you don't have the guts!!!! hepsy 10 months ago

If I'm understanding: You're proud that a man of your race was elected as President of United States … Show full post No President had the guts to put America first. There has never been a President that said "Ok for one year we will put all money back into America." That means the trillions we spend a year for oversea aid should divert back to America. I believe that any other country should be equipped to take care of themselves. If not, they shouldn't be a country anyway. If the politicians understand that helping America will put us in a better position, they would change. However, because there must be an upper hand and lower, this will never happen. I am not advocating making every American rich. I am saying that to even out the playing field can help American's prosper and America herself. Now we are talking about working families, and some more better aid for single families as well. So Hepsy, you are asking me what guts are? Guts is the desire for change, it is too take life to another level. It is too do things that the average individual would never do. So President Obama is the new President, oh well, so what. He's policies towards his citizens he governs will be the same since the first President. Those who have, have, does who don't ,don't.. So I am happy to see that America tried something new, but there is so much new things we can try as well!!!!!!! hepsy 10 months ago

So what if a person wants to be a Muslim, Jew or Catholic. That has nothing at all to do with running the free world. Or are you stating that America is a catholic land. You are basically advocating what could be the war of religion. We need to understand that all great men regardless of color behind closed doors read every book. To understand another religion you must incorporate some of its ideas in your own thinking. I see no where in any written document to run America you have to be of a certain religion. America was made for religious freedom, not as a religious country. We use religion as a guide, to remember how to treat each other, that is it. So America has to mention religion because she deals with countries that are religious based. This is why religion has no part in running a society. It tends to confuse the citizens. hepsy 10 months ago
