They work for US - we pay their salaries - they are by and large incompetent, greedy, corrupt, arrogant and have done a dismal job of running the business of America - so we, their boss, will cut their pay 15% (saving about $16,000,000 annually) - THEY have caused, through their incompetence and greed, this recession - why don't we, their boss, do something about it? If enough of us demand they take a pay cut, or be targeted for defeat in their next election, we make them remember who they work for. And we express our extreme dissatisfaction with their performance. Obama has already endorsed idea of spreading the wealth around - so why don't we do it? Everyone - write, call, email, whatever, your demand that your senators and congressman take the 15% cut - enact legislation enforcing the cut, or we defeat them in their next election. I have posted on my blog the idea and the contact info for all 100 senators.
Instead of complaining, let's do this thing - whether you are D or R, doesn't matter - if these people worked in the private sector, they'd be suffering in this train wrecked economy like all the rest of us - I for one am tired of them living off of us like a bunch of parasites, who contribute nothing to the host, but just suck our blood dry - ENOUGH - with $16,000,000 we save annually, we can at least start making a dent in taxation, deficit, whatever - the most important thing is to teach them that they work for us!! And like us, they will have to bite the bullet a bit in this economy that they have created. STOP complaining, START doing!!!
