Clayton9504 (Republican) - 9 months agoNo, it should illegal in all states. It is just not good for society. ironhead (Libertarian) - 9 months agoThe state has no right to criminalize sexual work, prostitution, etc. Where is the victim??? People think that if you outlaw prostitution, then you are "protecting" society. Protecting it from what? Itself? Voluntary sex? There is no victim. Moreover, prostitution continues whether it is legal or not. It would be much safer for sex workers if it were legal. I think that a few basic regulations, primarily tort law and fraud laws would be more than sufficient to keep things safe. DrWord 8 months ago

When a prostitute is paid for she is degraded to a property Not really. Prostitution is no different from any other service oriented business. People pay for a prostitute's service and then go on about their business; she does not become the property of her client(s). MrsPresident 4 months ago

I can hardly see people who make thousands of dollars a scene as a victim. Prostitutes charge less because they are temporary for sexual gratification, they don't linger on in print for decades. Are strippers victims? Most of those people make more than the president. To me the only time there is a victim of sexually oriented work is when minors are forced into it and people who are desperate are doing it. If you are desperate then you are not making a clear choice you are doing it out of severe necessity instead of enjoyment. vijayshekar 4 months agoThere is no point in legalising prostitution in US. KristiAnn (Democratic) - 4 months agoi think that if prostitution was organized( meaning HIV test regularly and higher standards of "employees") it would, to me, be less of an issue. i know this might sound juvenile but i think prostitution is illegal for the same reason marijuana is-the govt cant tax it. unless, you work at the bunny ranch. wayway2tall 4 months agoProstitutes are victims in that they are lured into a lifestyle with short term gains that often leads to a lifetime of drug addiction and abuse. Pimps are the lowest denomination of society, and in my personal expierience saw "the Godfather" and "Scarface" as religious prophecies to base their life on. MrsPresident 3 months ago

Prostitutes are whores, not ho s or sluts. Whores get paid and the others don't. lol Solutions (Republican) - 3 months agoHmm. Such a hard topic. For me its a simple set of morals, but my morals have no business governing our nation. I think it is wrong, vile, degrading, and life ending. With that being said I dont believe that we should make laws that hurt our citizans. If you allow teen girls to "prosper" into prostitutes you will #1 lose people in the job market #2 create unsanitary situations #3 encourage the spread of HIV and other STD's #4 Break up thousands of American families. guitar102 (Democratic) - 3 months agoI would think Republicans would love this as it's free market capitalism at it's best! lol. However I believe (and use the repealing of Prohibition as my example) whenever a vice is legalized it's removed from the grasp of organized crime who can't compete in an open market! Secondly, regulations (yes, regulations) can be enforced (via registration of prostitutes as legal employees/employers) concerning cleanliness, drug testing, etc. And THIRDLY - you can now tax them as every other employee is taxed. 1 - 13 / 13

Traditionally, prostitution is illegal in the U.S. outside of certain areas (part of Nevada, basically). Should it, however, be illegal entirely? Would it make sense to regulate it, or even legalize entirely? What do you think?
