Clayton9504 (Republican) - 9 months agoI will be honest, I think I am in the middle on this debate. I would like to see the troops come home and be out of danger. We have lost enough troops in Iraq as it is. The last thing we need is to be in there longer and let a big suicide bomber blow up a major convoy with a VIP or major amounts of oil and chemicals. On the other hand if we withdraw from Iraq the terrorist are going to claim a victory in Iraq and begin blowing stuff up again. Plus we risk another homeland threat and incident like 9/11. Jeremy86 (Democratic) - 9 months agoI don't think we really have any business being there in the first place, especially now that Iraq basically has a sovereign government again, so yes I think we should withdraw. As it is that very same sovereign government is basically asking us to leave. We have no business being their against their wishes. Cindy41 (Independent) - 6 months ago

I believe we need to stay where we are, or everything that has been done was for nothing and we let the terrorist win, or should I say, have their way. I don't like the idea of all those men and women over there, but they are there to serve America and they are all doing a GREAT JOB!!! But the president, needs to give them everything they need to fight and win this war!! They started it and we need to finish it, but it looks like Obama is not going to do anything but talk to them, yea right I didnt' see them "talking" to us before they blew up innocent Americans...did you???? We need a president that is going to stand up for us, not bow, like he did before, down to terrorists...he, Obama, has lied too much, it's time to let him know we don't want a president that is trying to control us!!!! rreppy (Green) - 4 months ago

Where have you been? 9/11 was Al Qaeda. They struck from Afghanistan. NOT Iraq. The majority of the plotters were Saudi Arabians (a fact supressed by their friends, the Bush family). NOT Iraqis. voiceofreason 3 months agoSadam Hussein needed to go, the country needs to be made a democracy and we will ALWAYS be there with our without a major number of troups. This country like Germany and Japan had leaders that where against the US and lost the war a long time ago... i cant see terrorist regimes calling what has happened a "Victory". We are their on a peace mission like that many Bill Clinton sent America into. In fact he has a statue made of him like he is a hero in a country for doing so... maybe one day Iraq will have a statue of George Bush. guitar102 (Democratic) - 2 weeks agoI think what needs to be asked before deciding whether to withdraw our forces or not is why are we there in the first place?
