I just read a press release by Sallie Mae regarding hiring 2000 people in the US replacing it's overseas call centers.

Good PR headline, but is this move going to reflect on higher costs for the corporation and impact the shareholder value of the company?  The stock demonstrated 4% gain in trading today but in much lower volumes. http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=SLM

Haha well I'm inclined to agree it's more or less a PR stunt to get in good with President Obama, to show they are moving forward to get American people working again.
