THINK HARD AT WHAT WE WENT THRU……9/11/2009 IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

Do you remember 1987........Thought you might be interested in this forgotten bit of information.........It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt. Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration.

There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning! He was being drilled by a senator;'Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?

'Ollie replied, 'Yes, I did, Sir.'The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience,'Isn't that just a little excessive?''No, sir,' continued Ollie.'No? And why not?' the senator asked.

'Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir.''Threatened? By whom?' the senator questioned.'By a terrorist, sir' Ollie answered.'Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?''

His name is Osama bin Laden, sir' Ollie replied.

At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, butcouldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued.'Why are you so afraid of this man?' the senator asked.

'Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of ' Ollie answered..

'And what do you recommend we do about him?' asked the senator.'Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth.

'The senator disagreed with this approach. And, that was all that was shown of the clip

.By the way, that senator was Al Gore..

Also:Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986.The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him.

As part of theOslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called 'political prisoners

.'However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands,

 The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, 'insisted' that all prisoners be released.

Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked us by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center . This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified.It was censored in the US from all later reports.

If you agree that the American public should be made aware of this fact, pass this on.Do Not Break - it is almost 8 years strong. This is why I always say I love YOU....This has not been broken since 9/11/01, please keep it going...This has been kept alive and moving since 9/11. In memory ofall those who perished that morning; the passengers and the pilots on the United Air and AA flights, the workers in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and all the innocent bystanders. Our prayers go out to the friends and families of the deceased.

Crybabies and Liberal Bias

 Recently a member has taken issue with comments(3) I have made that he somehow thought were nasty to him, like a little kid he went crying to the Politics people and had them deleted. Contrary to the terms of use they were deleted, they were not profane or abusive, one member who was in the conversation even said so. I have been on this site since Dec. 08 and have not seen this occur before. I think I can safely say, most all have seen conversations get pretty rough but we are adults and just plod on.

 Many members have had articles that were not posted or took as many as 20 hours to post and then were taken off in 4 hours. I know sites that have not been submitted from are held up but have never seen one take an hour as they say. It is odd that the articles that are not posted are critical of the administration. A few members and I have noticed the frontpage, big picture article is nearly always from a few individuals and never critical of Obama s far as I know. The top users was changed when conservatives were predominate.

 This site has the stink of liberal bias. Politics.com should be a site of free speech,but since Obama was elected it has hardly been one. There is not much we can do about the actions of Politics.com as I have never gotten a reply from any questions submitted. But the Democrats and Republicans, Liberals and Conservatives can take a stand on our speech being silenced, our comments being deleted. If it happens to one it can happen to others and steamroll to the point that many who take issue with a post have it deleted  no matter the merits.

 Jeremy86 is the one using this tactic of deleting comments, I ask all members to ignore his comments and posted articles. If he wants' to silence speech, give him silence.

If You Can't Take A Joke -----

   I am from Southern Illinois in a region that was isolated for many years. Southern IL was primarily settled from migration of southerners, my heritage goes back to Virginia before the Revolutionary war as do most in the area. A strong southern accent remained in the people I grew up with and in my family. When my family moved up to central IL I found that a southern accent was equated with stupidity. I even had teachers who belittled me for the accent even though  I had  excellent grades.

 There is an uproar presently about a cartoon that supposedly represents obama. Afro Americans become inflamed with any depiction they consider to be a racial slur. Italians Americans, Irish Americans, Hispanic Americans, Jews, and every other ethnic or nationality howl if they are stereotypically treated comically. The network TV shows tread lightly with them. The one group that is constantly put into a buffoonish role is southern "rednecks" . The actual term redneck goes back to the Scotch-Irish dissenters of Anglican rule. Many of the people who took a role in securing our freedom and liberty in the Revolutionary war were Rednecks. And I am proud to be descended from them. How many of the people who find mirth in depicting them in a depreciating light can boast a heritage so steeped in our history. The military has always been largely made up of southerners.  Many of our greatest generals and admirals have come from the south. Today is no different.

 There is another group that is depicted as the fool. When a TV comedy show is all black any whites are usually  playing the fool. An all white show could never get away with treating a black character the same.

 If we put up all the jokes and treatment as low class members of society remember we are the ones who serve in our military, we are the ones who marry and take care of our kids, we are the ones who believe in self responsibility and work for a living, we are the one who are going to church, we are the ones who believe in helping others. We can see the humor in the jokes about us why can't everyone else?
