These answers are a hoot! But seriously the issue is about who gets called what by whom. This Horsley character is no more a conservative right wing republican, even if he claims to be one than Chavez. But it seems that too often people are called certain labels not to identify but to belittle those others in the group that he is allegedly a member.
In the article Horsley is running on the " Creator's Rights Party platform." But because he is "What?" Weird or stupid he is later listed by Obama Buddy as a Radical Right Wing protofascist and later listed by Elitheros as a Republican.
It is too funny and I enjoy the humor in this story and comments but why oh why do people have to list him as anything other than what he is " Crazy". Just my humble opinion but I do see a problem listing every nutcase as either a rep or a dem. Though in truth he is much crazier then anyone named as a far left wing democrat.
We can laugh at ourselves and each other without resorting to comparisons to others political parties.

Ok Elitheros if Horsley if is a member of the far right brand of the Republican party as you state. … Show full comment
I'd agree with bco2rgr... Bill Ayres and other such left wing 'activists', such as those involved in the ALF who use terror to push deep-left agendas meet the bill for the far-left.

I think Bill Ayers and Ward Churchill would fall into that category of far left brand. As well as Noam Chomsky.
Unfortunately you can't control those who check the box declaring the party they support. However I guarantee one thing. You will not hear any main stream republican or conservative folks coming out in support of this man. They will not defend his actions or try to say he is misunderstood or that he has not hurt anyone with his actions.

Michael Moore and Bill Maher come to mind. Wait I'll think of a very good one. Give me some time.

Ok Elitheros if Horsley if is a member of the far right brand of the Republican party as you state. Then who in your opinion would represent the far left brand of the Democratic party? Just curious!

Horsley self identifies as a member of the real Republican Party and is active in a movement to reform the GOP to his way of thinking.. he is a GOP member and wants to make the party more like him... that is the connection to the Republican Party.
He is a Georgian secessionist, militant pro-life supporter, and dangerous anti-gay views. He has supported violence at abortion clinics and has personally sent anthrax letters to abortion clinics. He even argues that such actions of terrorism and other terrorist activities are justified by biblical scripture. As a candidate for Governor in the past, pushing his Georgia secessionist platform, Horsley has even said he would kill his own son, who is in the Army, if he were sent to Georgia to stop the state from seceding.
Horsley did at one point create his own party - he being the only real member - it is the "Creator's Rights Party" - he says on many occasions that it is the real Republican or conservative party and still refers to himself as a Republican a lot. He is the definition of the far-right brand in the Republican Party, a group the mainstream GOP tries to hide, and for good reason.
Also, protofascism is essentially the edge before full fascism, where fascist notions arise. An example would be the Ku Klux Klan.

While Mr. Horsley's admission is certainly strange, I am still trying to figure out what is a "protofascist". The strangest comment has to be how Zachary King gets from Radical right-wing protofascist to Republican. In this case reporting and commenting on a bizarre story brings out the a*s in some people.

Unlawful Carnal Knowledge? Hmmm Just add the word For at the beginning of that and there you go. :) Seriously though his last name is Horsley, what could we really expect? Maybe that's how the family name came about? lmao!
