Man said 30,000 bullets were for target practice

Submitted by UK Fan | 11 months ago

www.eagletribune.com - HAVERHILL — Keni Garcia told police he intended to use the 30,000 bullets they found in his car and home for target practice.

That is hard to believe, the prosecutor at Garcia's arraignment said, because if he were to fire a gun for eight hours a day, it would take weeks for him to use all of it.

I do not know the zoning laws in his state. However, while I don't have a problem with the amount of ammunition he has, I would not want my next door neighbor to have 30000 rounds of ammo next door. Residential area in an urban setting? I'm talking strictly from a hazardous material standpoint. You cannot do that with gasoline. Gunpowder same deal.

As long as the bullets are leagally purchased why should he be arrested for that. The other illeagal stuff yeah bust him but if he purchased the bullets with out breaking a law and the only thing they are mad at is the quantity then there should be no case. Now as far as illeagal stuff goes prosocute.

However I myself have about 5,000 bullets that I use for huntting and shooting at the range. I know its not the 30,000 he had but still should I be worried? I have bout them over the years leagaly.

The guy who was caught with all the ammo works at a local bakery but can afford to buy 30,000 bullets? How much does that cost? Plus the fact that he had 25K in cash isn't just a tad suspicious? He says the money came from a check for his business, but where is this mythical business? If you have a shipping business running from your home people will notice because Fed-EX and UPS will always be there dropping off and picking up.

The guy is lying and he got busted by ATF. He needs to cop a plea and give up the people he's really working for. Maybe the US Marshall's can put him and his family in witness protection, or deport his a$$. That'll save us some money.
