you know what I am talking about ...
besides...the crime that oj was convicted of...well, they were gunning for him and he did not receive a fair and just trial as stated by the constitution....
The only way it would have been possible would be for there to be total anyominity of who commited the crime to begin with to see if it was him or not....they offered eveyone else but OJ a plea bargain....

I didn't say anything about race. I don't carry a brief for the police or for our flawed jury system, but could those rates be higher because blacks commit crime at higher rates? The truth hurts, and it isn't always politically correct.

If they raped and murdered their entire life, they aren't respectable. You respect your elders because they are your elders. Who are you to judge child? I'm not calling you a child. I'm imitating what someones mother should have, I mean would say. I know you like it when I kid around.

If you where white and you said Michael Jackson was a child rapist even though he was never convicted of the crime, would Latoya Jackson still have looked more like Michael Jackson than Michael Jackson?

This is why I didn't want to post what I did. You're comparing apples to oranges. You're saying that between two normal, healthy, well-adjusted men neither one would ever in 100 million years sleep in the same bed with a minor child. It's wrong on 100 different levels. Michael Jackson wasn't brought to court simply because he slept in the same bed. A suggestion of impropriety doesn't make one a child molester. The impropriety itself is what gets one in cuffs. Impropriety may be a poor choice but it makes the point. That is why I made the lawyer comment. Moral compasses need them all the time. Sometimes doing the right thing is illegal. I'm not suggesting the guy deserved a different set of rules. A grown man does not sleep with any small children-other than maybe his own. I'm saying that maybe the interpretation of his actions and the search for his motives may require some out of the box thinking.

I respect the elderly because I'm a respectful person and I'm not a person in my 20's with a god complex. Until a person loses my respect I shall respect everyone whether they deserve it or not, I was raised that way.

I haven't reviewed all of the comments below so I don't know if someone has said this yet, but how does anyone know that MJ was a rapist? You may hold that opinion based on information provided by our lovely tabloid media et al - but this man was not convicted of any crime.
Do I think that Michael Jackson sexually mistreated children? He probably did, though it's just a suspicion. I don't know it personally and he was not convicted of any crimes. The same goes for OJ Simpson - he was probably guilty, but I don't KNOW that he was, nor was he convicted in a criminal trial.
I would also point out that the parents of the children who visited MJ at the Neverland Ranch should be seriously questioned regarding their judgment. Moreover, they certainly stood to benefit from accusations which resulted in ample settlement money. I'm not saying that I'm certain of their motivations, but one should take that into account.
Michael Jackson dying is an important event, because he is, essentially, an historical figure. His music reached billions of people and so many of us can use these songs as a frame of reference to that time in our life. Personally, I've never liked any of his music after the Thriller album, but Thriller and Off The Wall are great pop albums - and I'm not a big fan of pop music, to say the least.
