I agree with you on majority of what you re talking about. It's scary to see where our country is going. We don't know much about the President that just elected, and he talks the talk but doesn't walk it. i wonder if he is intentionally putting our economic future at risk with the amount of money he asked for in the stimulus plan, within less than 100 days in office, rivals that of what President Bush asked for the war effort in the 8 years he's been in office. I don't get it. Social Security is going down and every Republican knows it except majority of the Democrats. That's why President Bush tried to put a plan together in which everyone will have a investment type portfolio that would invest into the economy which can't be touch until the "social security" age. It made sense because Americans would learn how the economy works and the money that they get taxed that would go into social security would be invested into our own economy. It would be a never ending cycle and would work to our advantage cause' our economy would have a lesser chance at failing so badly like the situation we are in. Democrats made it seem that President Bush was abolishing social security which wasn't the case. President Bush was trying to work a solution for what we all know will be a failed social security system over time due to the lack of workforce that's out there over time as most americans aren't into having that many kids now. What solution would we make to overcome this problem? Maybe we will be forced to use illegal immigrants to take place of the "missing" workforce to make our current social security work. Oh well. Good article.
