Illusion, no. Expected, yes. Cyclical, probably.

The poll numbers are what they are. At the moment, they remain fairly positive, if not as high as they were before. It would be pretty strange in politics for them to remain that high for that long, especially with all the problems in the country at the moment. They are in some ways very important, and in others ways very exaggerated considering 2012 is still a long ways off.

I refrain from personal attack because it doesn't make sense to attack one who expresses dumb things. Some of those things can stand comment, but doesn't need to be a personal matter. Besides, I rarely dislike others, to a fault. There's good in most anyone.

You asked, whether I show no emotion (your words) because I have none, or if I'm afraid to tell someone to go take a hike. I'd like to answer that I show no emotion (as you put it) because I'm an undertaker, and I'm afraid to tell my subjects to take a hike. :->
But to tell the truth, expressing emotion to strangers who hide behind the cloak of Internet obscurity just isn't my kuleana. Emotion? To da max! With real people. (Don't tell anyone this, but there is a user who, if I were to meet in person, well...!)

Minnie, I am trained to assess information without the skew of emotion. I am trained to see patterns that point to what's next. Emotion has its place. Emotion is not logic, Emotion is not exercise of reason. You will hardly find reference to even my personal experience here. Why? Because personal experience is relative to one in a million, inappropriate to the majority and hardly a basis for generalities. Why get emotional on a political website with children who haven't experienced, or learned, the basics of life, so cannot know how to address them?

You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
I do not try to be polite. I am. Usually. It's more of a challenge to exercise restraint than to react with rudeness. Hardly matters who someone is, even when a troll. Look at yourself. I reply to you because your veil of nonsense is thin. I actually read what you write, sometimes. You intentionally avoid showing your real self because you'd rather have fun spewing nonsense. (Okay, I admit it. Makes me LOL!) You choose to let your obnoxious fun hide the content of what you have to express, so there's lack of interactive discussion. You have valid things to say, yet you hide. Are you afraid to clearly let others know what you really think, unobscured by nonsensical wrapping?

You choose Hard Rock, as you put it. Great for nonsense instead of conversation, or high, with distorted perception.

Why would you want to stop your Politics com nonsense?
Your comments are usually jibberish wrapped around your heart. If you left off the nonsense, the ones you ve antagonized would ravish those things you care about, but you know that. Then your feelings would be hurt. You don t give others the chance to hear you, for you woundn't have the fun you do, without confusing and provoking my friends. But Minnie exists for the purpose of comic hostility, rather than thought for politics that ail our country.

Some of your concerns are mine, too. Where we differ is in cause, remedy and values to embrace while addressing the problems. Where your Climate Security Act is victim to Washington gridlock, I see Government's business security of our rights, not imposing itself on US under the cloak of Climate, which in truth is a cause for increased Usury, not looking to diminish things like the island of plastic in the Pacific killing wildlife.

Someone way smarter than I said that Government isn't the solution, it's the problem.

Where you may advocate more Government control, I speak for way less Government control. With every act Government imposes on US, it reduces our self governance. Every bill, tax, restriction on US chisles at our liberty. The more Government controls US, the further we are from the Republic we were founded as.

The past really is important. If you know your past, you can contol your future. When you know that others have died of thirst because they couldn't find water in the desert, you can know to take a jug of water with you, and survive.

I'm praying Obama is NOT eligible.

The sad part about people who think like you is that you support an administration that is bent on destroying the wealth of the nation. When that "golden goose" called capitalism is dead, poverty will come upon America .....a poverty that has never been known in this country.

Read the history books of socialist and communist countries. What happened after their "revolution"? Hum?

Rent an old movie Doctor Zhivago...a historic novel about the re-distribution of wealth and a socialist government take over. Notice the famine and the lower class pulling everyone down with them. Set just before and in the years following the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, the film follows the life of Zhivago as he marries, raises a family, has his life totally disrupted by first World War One, and then by the Revolution. Shown against the Epic of a world turned on its head, Zhivago s life and freedom are torn from him as the new society makes demands. Sympathetic with the revolution but shaken by the wars and purges, he struggles to retain his individualism as a humanist amid the spirit of collectivism.

This form of wealth re-distribution and government control over the lives of the people simply will not work. Notice "he struggles to retain his individualism". That individualism quality of our people is what has made America great.

Study about the Soviet Union s break up and what that form of government as depicted in the movie ....has done in the past to productivity and how that caused the ultimate collapse of Russia. A nation who has lost it s individual identity.

Everywhere in history, the kinds of initiatives that this administration advocates will clearly lead to chaos and lost productivity. Can you not see why conservative and Republicans are enraged?

Why you or any American support this administration....I assume you went to college....I will never know.
