You can only reach out so far. It takes at least two to tango. There comes a point when one must realize that compromise makes no one happy and move on. The key is to get legislature that may help the American people passed. It is not supposed to be a party fight; it is supposed to be a check and balance system. The idea is that with enough voices and different opinions the most moral (in the eyes of the majority) will be reached. Opposition is good, but not when it prevents a resolution.

At least the pink elephant in the living room has been acknowledged. The joys of a two party system is half the time is spent trying to out-do the other side, and the rest of the time is spent commenting on how poorly the other side is doing.
I want to know if we can get past our party differences and reach a conclusion that will help the American people and not push the US into a greater deficit. Oh, and in a timely manor.
