Very interesting article, and a lot I agree with in it.

It's about time that we start to seriously look at our military budget and the effect our military has overseas. The bravery of our soldiers cannot be questioned but the military complex itself has become more and more harmful to our interests and those of the rest of the world. We could significantly reduce our financial woes and our national insecurity by finally addressing that $650 billion (really closer to a trillion) elephant in the room.
