Won't get any more of my web business. I too think it is a very bad move.

There must be some additional services in the content that they would provide otherwise I can't see how it would work considering there are plenty of free news sources. Subscription based news services is an old business model which I doubt would be able to survive in 2010.

MySpace is so 5 years ago!

In all seriousness as well... I hate that The Times (UK) will now be a pay site. It may destroy their online presence.

In all seriousness, that is very shocking. If I understand what I've read on this correctly it appears that MySpace (or the division that houses it) has actually been the biggest loser for NewsCorp.

The daily online readership will likely fall by 85%, but i guess he will make a nominal fee on the remaining 15% .... bad move I think.
