Submitted by Cap Hill Junkie | 8 months ago

The Atlantic - The right is blowing it. Conservatives make a lot of noise at protests, but they’re scaring voters without scaring Democrats.

Gosh, if Marc Ambinder from the Atlantic says something negative about conservatives then it must be true!

Who to believe? Gallup Poll, or "Cap hill junkie"- LOL
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a survey of 1,000 adults taken Tuesday, 34% say the sometimes heated protests at sessions held by members of Congress have made them more sympathetic to the protesters’ views; 21% say they are less sympathetic.

Independents by 2-1, 35%-16%, say they are more sympathetic to the protesters now.

The findings are bad news for President Obama and Democratic congressional leaders, who have scrambled to respond to town halls marked by aggressive questions and noisy demonstrations by those opposed to plans to overhaul the health care system…

I think your perception is flawed as I see more and more people disgusted with the left that is now in power and are going to go to the right in the coming elections.

It doesn t matter who sponsored what. What matters is what people see and decide to believe. Fact is, people are seeing things, blaming the 'crazy right' and making their decisions based on that.

Elections are a game of chess, the right needs to play better and get a few moves ahead if they want to 'clean up' as you put it. Politics in America is a huge game of perception, sadly.

The Left and the Right are complete hypocrites.

First, the Left protested the war in Iraq (and they were right to do so) and the Right called them "traitors, rude, crazy, nuts, lunatic fringe, marginal," etc.

Now, the Right are protesting the attempt to socialize health care even further (and they are right to do so) and the Left are calling them "crazy, strange, rude, nuts, lunatic fringe," etc.

There is no other way to describe this: HYPOCRITES!!!

You are believing the same people who said the Tea Parties were Republican sponsored which is BS. All you had to do is be at one to see it was against both parties tax and spenders. The people are waking up and saying " no more" The Republicans will clean up in 2010, the race hasn't started and obama will kill the demos chances. Some big name demos may even get the axe. Admit it your a liberal.

Great post and so true. If the right is not careful they will hurt their cause more than help it. Moderate/independent voters are needed by both sides, neither can win without them. If the right scares them away it is essentially the same as handing over scores of votes to the Democrats.
