The Hill - The Obama administration’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) plans to keep the Internet free of increased user fees based on heavy Web traffic and slow downloads.

Julius Genachowski, the FCC chairman, told The Hill that his agency will support “net neutrality” and go after anyone who violates its tenets.

Personally, I think this is a back door for government regulation of the internet. It sounds nice on paper, but ultimately it comes down to a property rights issue.

When an ISP can treat any form of traffic different from another, it will cause disruption to the system. And those who know how will abuse that system of imbalances, will. And there are always those who know how.
I m surprised this is being backed.
