Gay military question still up in air Gay military question still up in air

I don't see why the gay community wants don't ask don't tell repealed so badly. I give every homosexual who's served (or tried to serve) in the military the full compliments of courage, honor, duty, and overwhelming gratitude that I give anyone who serves in the military. But if this country refuses to allow them the full rights of citizenship (legal marriage) then I see no reason why they should be willing to die for our country. The ones who go above and beyond and stay in the closet specifically so that they can serve, are true patriots, and I hope that their decision of bravery doesn't end on the floor of some hospital somewhere.
