Cops, deputies warned again about right-wing 'terrorists' Cops, deputies warned again about right-wing 'terrorists'

Submitted by Good Ole Boy | 6 months ago

World Net Daily - A private activist organization apparently is picking up where the federal government left off when the Department of Homeland Security issued its "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment" warning that returning veterans and people in a long list of other categories were potential terrorists.

Whether you love him or hate him, Obama won by 53% of the popular vote, rounded up. You state that as a "vast majority". The polls, which reflect the poll-takers bias, show a 60%+ percentage of Obama voters under the age of 30. That info causes me to wonder, if it s predominanently the same group of people who hold animosity against Bush, which you refer to in your antipathy, because the USSC upheld election law.

You name entertainers, far as I can tell, in reference to media. At least they don t pretend to be news reporters. If there weren't enough people listening to them, for whatever reason they do, the entertainers would be off the air because advertisers wouldn't keep paying to keep them on. Movies are also great for entertainment, which the movie you refer to may be. When the ones pretending to present news are outed for presenting fiction, they're as often praised for their creativity, as they are fired.

They are now called, "terrorist," who would defend our Constitution, and remind US of, and quote, our Country's founders.

There is just so much to say, I don't know where to begin. In my opinion the people who are being taken advantage of by the media are the ones who are influenced by Fox News and people who espouse to their nonsensical garbage. They are an extreme but loud minority. How could anyone listen to and actually believe the likes of O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity, Ingram, Boortz, Coulter or a drug using college drop out like Rush Limbaugh. These people are frustrated losers who have nothing better to do than say absolutely terrible things about a man who is trying to fix the mess he inherited from the Bush presidency. Talk about listening to the will of the people, at least President Obama was elected by a vast majority. There is considerable doubt President Bush was elected period. He certainly didn't listen to his constituents at any time during his presidency. I do respect him (ex-president Bush) for one thing and I am very serious about this. He is keeping his mouth shut and allowing the current President to do his job. It's too bad I can't say the same thing for his vice-president, who can't seem to understand his party was voted out. By the way, the president who started the downhill spiral in our economy with his "benefit the rich man" policy of deregulation was Ronald Wilson Reagan and George W. Bush simply followed in his footsteps. It seems they would have learned from history (Herbert Hoover). I would recommend the movie Capitalism: A Love Story for anyone who doubts that deregulation has hurt our economy. I drove 200 miles to see it and it was worth all the effort.

The complacent masses of the 1700s and 1800s weren t much inspired by the men who spoke for individual liberty and the place of government, either. It was the few, not the majority, who heard inspiration when it was current. It is hindsight, past history, that causes us to be inspired by words voiced so long ago, to hold to the truth and sense of them.

(Do you, really, believe Bush was so powerful, to create two wars [without Senate approval?], cause economic meltdown, do something to create a need for healthcare for all Americans, cause global warming, create dishonesty within our government?)

Each president of the past several elections has inherited some mess from his predecessor, Obama as well as Bush, Clinton as well as Reagan. A lot of the mess you and I see is perception from a Media that transposes opinion and news, so whether or not a President is a Media darling will influence how a president and his policies are portrayed. Obama is a media celebrity, as were Clinton and Reagan, so of course, Obama's predecessor would be the bad guy, even if the name were Mahatma Gandhi.

Obama is probably a nice man, would likely be fun at a party. His politics, however, strike me as upside down. What I mean by that is, his actions show a president who tells Americans what will be done to US, rather than presiding according to the voice of the people of US. Media gives lip service to his "leading," but if you pay attention to how he tells Americans and Congress what he will do, what he intends, what he expects them to do, you can see he is ramming.

Our current, awful affairs can be solved in more ways than one. Our country was designed for our affairs to be run by a representative government, people elected to act according to the voice of constituents. The current administration would solve our pressing issues regardless, or in spite of, what American Electorate would have their elected officials in Washington do, and would instead, state from the White House what Congress is to legislate, and what unelected people will decide.

If a Media Darling were to be reiterating words of our founding fathers, it'd be all over TV, in NYT, MSNBC, etc.. As it is, it's the Media Rejects who are quoting.
Why, do you suppose?

The absence of something is as telling as its inclusion.

I can't think of a single person who would inspire us the way the founding fathers did. They were a unique group of people. I just hope and pray that someone today can step forward and get the job done. Right now we have President Obama and if people would let him work, I think he will prove to be a very good leader of our country. Personally, I like everything he has done so far. He has conscientiously tried to do the best possible job he can do in regard to the serious issues that face this country. I don't envy him. He inherited the horrible mess that the Bush administration left him (two wars, economic meltdown, the need of healthcare for all American citizens, global warming, dishonesty within our own government and all the rest). I wish him the best of luck and sincerely hope he can solve some of these pressing issues.

He was in a short time when 9/11 happened and the intelligence community was in disaray due to democrats.

Obama will have caused a deficit in 1 year more than Bush in 8 years. The recession was started with the sub prime mortgage failure primed by Clinton, Dodd and other dems.

Obama can't make any speeches without a teleprompter.

The cabinet thing is a joke, just look at who is in charge of FDIC, Federal reserve, and the SEC, a tax cheat. The others are tax cheats, communists, far left radicals and would be terrorists.

The enviormental thing has no merit.

He tore down Al Quida, he caused many countries to expell terrorists.

He averted a finacial meltdown after 9/11.

He put conservatives on the Supreme Court that reafirmed the right to bear arms as a personal right and helped get the case heard.

He listened to the public and didn't brand patriotic Americans as would be terrorist like obama has.

Just name one good thing obama has done.

Hey Good Ole Boy, keeping them coming. I've never laughed so hard. Your posts are marvelous entertainment. Who do you think was president when 9/11 happened? It was the man you think has kept us so safe. Who was in office during the largest deficit; money spent on a pointless, idiotic war? Your boy Bush. Who was president during the worst economic problems since the great depression? Again, Bush. Who was the president who had great difficulty forming sentences if he couldn't read them from a teleprompter? Bush. Who put together one of the most underqualified cabinets in US history? Bush. Who has the most horrific environmental record as president? Bush. If anyone can find one area where he was successful, I'll admit I could be wrong about his being the worst of all time, but I don't think there is an area of performance in which he succeeded. As a human being, he might be a great guy, but as president he was an embarassment. I don't hate him, I just look at the facts and come to an honest conclusion.

You talk about haters and you are one, a Bush hater. Bush was not the greatest president but he was very far from the worst.

He kept the nation safe after 9/11. You can see the effect he had by the actions of Libya's Kadaffi. He turned over terrorists after Bush gave his harboring terrorists stance and was quiet for 8 years now he is making a hero of the Lockerbie bomber.

We are now seeing the worst president and he may be out of office before his term is over. A eligibility case is going forward. You don't spend over a million dollars hiding a poor math grade.

Anyone on television is an entertainer, regardless of the program. So yes, Glenn Beck would be paid to keep the advertisers happy, as are Jon Stewart or Anderson Cooper. Sarah Silverman is so good at impersonation she has an entourage believing her routines are reality. Peter Jennings was so good with his fictional oration that he believes he still has a place in "news". Glenn Beck is so good with his comedy, he wraps it around a package of what is mostly obfuscated by his antagonists. After the shows and behind the scenes of any of the programming, yes, they probably are wondering how many people they convinced, and what the ratings will be.

For the record: I watch Glenn Beck no more than I watch Keith Olbermann. I hear Glenn Beck no more than I hear NPR, CNN, MSMBC or ABC news. If you were to combine all the conservative talking heads that broadcast near me, I hear less of them, combined, than I hear the media that loves Obama, and I hear Obama more than the talking heads, combined. It is neither the major media outlets, or Obama, who talk of what this country, US, grew from, who reminds of the men who shaped our independence, who deliver a message of encouragement and liberty. The men who recall and realate American history are the voices like Glenn Beck's.

Whether you like them, love them or hate them, or believe them or not, what entertainers do you hear/read/see, reminding US of the words spoken and penned in the 1700s, 1800s, that shaped US? Why, do you suppose?

As I read the various comments about this issue I am very entertained by it all. On the right-wing side we have the blinded by hatred group who imagines they have all the answers while knowing absolutely nothing, presenting their perverted lunacy for all to see. On another side there is a voice of reason, which asks for people to come together to actually solve problems instead of talk trash. On the left we have thoughtful, intelligent people, but people who are sucked into playing the right-wing game of bait and hate. I'll offer another side to this; perhaps all of this debating is a waste of time, as our society contains so many people of astounding stupidity and gullibility that it is shocking. There are still those who defend the Bush adminstration, the worst in the history of the nation, a stellar example of total failure in every aspect. There are those who compare Beck to our founding fathers! An outrage! If we are dealing with people who seriously have such thoughts, perhaps the time for debate is over. Perhaps the best thing is to ignore them and move forward; forget the lunatic fringe and move on, and while doing so, take any threat, coming from any possible group, seriously, and handle it accordingly, without debate.

I am not a fan of the extreme right or the extreme left. I cannot equate Glenn Beck with any of the revolutionary heros that you mentioned. I do get a kick out of listening to these conservative talk show hosts. They provide better comedy than some of the comedy clubs I frequent. I can't imagine they say out loud some of the things they profess to believe. Honestly, I think they are entertainers and they really don't believe most of what they are saying. I can see them laughing after a broadcast wondering how many people they were able to convince. They should be careful with that because there are people listening who are extremely volatile and vulnerable. At least when Jon Stewart does it, he does it in the name of comedy.

Mahalo for your service. I agree that veterans are not generally terrorists any more than others (i.e., supporters of pro-life, small government, individual rights) speaking out against the political direction from Washington. " Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." (Jefferson). I am so glad there are men today able to speak out with fortitude!

Glenn Beck is paraphrasing in today s vernacular a message similar to that of Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, John Adams and others from 250 years ago. Patrick Henry so regarded liberty that death was preferable to the then-current state of affairs. The message back then was often disregarded by complacent colonists, colonists content to be under the rule of the onerous English government. Do you find yesterday s messengers a hindrance, also?

Strange,he has backed everything he says up, with the very words of the ones he is talking about. Yet you complain about Beck and don't mention the message of fact he has given. The talk of socialism is depressing????I think you protest just a little to much. Socialism is just that, and the talk of it is because of the action of trying to push it on America. It is not hate speech or over the top,it is truth. What is going to be next,is the word "no" going to be labeled as right-wing hate speech??Sorry,I'm not buying the snake oil someone here is trying to sell.It would be such a comfort to see people start at least making the attempt to be honest and truthful and quit their little games and phony stories.

Now that the vaunted porkolus bill is an abject failure like anyone with a functioning brain said it would, demos like you are hedging your bets. The subprime mortgage mess started this slide and the blame for it rests firmly in Democrat hands. obama has done much to cause this reccession to be worse and if the cap and tax goes through it could cause a depression.

obama and liberal are doing their best to paint patriotic Americans as would be terrorists, this will taint his presidency in the future historical accounts. It now shows he is the real terrorist, he has real ones as friends and writer of his autobiographys.
