Look at the districts the blue dogs come from. They are tightly contested districts and go either way in elections, they are moderates because libs can't compete. Republicans will be pushing hard in the next election and they know it.

Don't make the assumption the leadership of the dems and repubs are not getting their share of money from those sources.I have spent many a night going thru the FEC website and you would be shocked at just how much and how many are receiving the money they claim they are not.The dem leadership in the US House is on track to take in more from health care and ins. lobbyists this year than any other time.They are good at their double-speak while lining their pockets at our expense.

What they really are terrified of on the numbers,is the number of dems leaning the other way.That never gets talked about.They fail to talk about how many of those people at town halls over the summer were democrats who had their fill of the leadership and lying of their own party.
