In referring to a "wee" bit of research you might want to actually practise what you preach. Funny, the way the major media is so quick to spread fiction as fact, without checking the source. WIth everything recorded that Rush has said, there's (reportedly) zip, nil, nada of the supposed racist comments that racist-makers are up in arms about.
No, I don't listen to Rush, so can't vouch for his remarks. But he must be doing something right, to get such racist hate blasted in his direction.

Now how do you apply that reasoning to saying that a crime against someone based on gender, race or orientation makes a crime worse? You are calling for a thought police to roam about and arrest those who say something that could be thought racist. You accuse me of being racist? Okay, let's follow that line of reasoning. I think the law should apply to all EQUALLY, regardless of the race, gender or orientation of the criminal OR victim. You think that people who are not white AREN'T equal under the law. That they can't defend themselves so they deserve special protections. That they just aren't as capable of living without government intervention. Now, which of us sounds like a racist?

No affirmative action, is just another feel good policy that, while making politicians feel good, does absolutely nothing to solve the problem it was created to fix. You think AA is absolutely, positively the best thing to come along ever? Well let me pose a question to you. You are going to vote for your Rep. And the one you support just happens to be white. Their opponent is a minority who is running on the Communist ticket. The votes are tallyed and the White candidate wins in a landslide. How would you like it if AA was applied here and all of the votes for the white candidate were thrown out because they could have been motivated by race?

I think with the current economic situation and the fact that the world is being destroyed by global warming we need to ban all professional sports. The carbon footprint of all the travel for both fans and players is just not worth the extra push it is giving us towards complete destruction of the planet. I figure if they want to take my flat screen TV and charge me for my carbon footprint then it must be really really bad, so why not ban stuff and not just charge for carbon credits after all how many carbon credits is our earth worth?

I think it is fine if black players don't or won't play for Rush. I think sports football and basketball for example should use the affirmative action standard. They need to have equal numbers of black and white players, if they need to lower the standards to be more inclusive of white players, so be it, it is after all a matter of FAIRNESS right? Oh and to solve the "problem" of to many white owners- Just nationalize ALL sports so the government owns all teams then they can rotate the super bowl winners so every team has the chance to be number one. What the fuck?!?!?!?! Do you know where that quote comes from?!?!?!?! That was the reason Barry Goldwater didn't vote for the civil rights act of 1964. It has absolutely no legal precedent, and frankly, I'm insulted that you would use the line of reasoning at all. They're called the 14th and 15th amendments to the constitution. Thats law, and they say that all people deserve the same rights and protections under the constitution. What a novel idea, right. The fact that backasswards hicks like you think that it's ok to let racism persist, robbing our country of reaching it's full potential, is the single greatest burden that our country carries.
All affirmative action does is ensure oppurtunities for people who otherwise wouldn't get those oppurtunities. But you don't like that. Because you think that even the least quallified white people, are still more skilled than the most qualified black people. That's why you are a racist.
