The 10 most egregarious FOX news distortions

Submitted by Lighthouse | 1 month ago

HuffPo - Fox News has defended itself against administration criticism by saying the White House has confused its pundit shows with its news programs.

But the network''new's constantly, misleadingly disparages Obama and his administration in its supposedly straight reporting.

Here are the ten of the worst examples.

You say you watch Chris Wallace, that alone gives Fox more credibility than any of the other networks you mention.

The problem is that you lefties are so used to having your brain stuffed with the liberal agenda (from the other networks) that your out of wack when it comes to fair and balanced reporting.

There is a huge difference between watching someone like Sean Hannity and the entire main stream media, Hannity does not claim to be a journalist sitting in the middle of the political spectrum. Where as your "journalists and reporters" in the other networks claim to be in the middle, but are so far to the left they are falling off the table.

The perception you talk about is from people who, like yourself, can't find the center and when you hear anything close to it, you think it is right wing.

BTW, Fox News has an audience of nearly 33.3% of dems, independants, and republicans.

Rather interesting that the story takes you to direct link to media matters. The problem with the left is that the sites such as daily kos, the huff.po ,media matters and move-on are considered the heart and soul of the left.Their stories are run on the major nets as news and have time and time again been made fools of by their lack of truth and creditability. I mean come on people,we are talking about a website here who says "happy twin towers day" and thinks it is in good taste. They want Fox discredited because in comparing love of country and looking at how different the perspectives are from the left media and Fox...it is obvious who the blame-America,hate-America first people are in this fight.

Most independent groups find them to be the most fair and balanced. Now what?

We are supposed to take the comments of a person who post stories constantly from the huffington post? seriously

Can someone explain to me why FOX news covered the tea party demonstrations in Washington with 75,000 people and did not cover the demonsttration by the gay activists a few weeks later (which also gathered 75,000 or so people)?

And then...explain how the FOX news division is 'fair and balanced'?

It appears as thought the FOX news division covers those events that would appeal (or be looked on favorably) by its viewer base.

And that isn't fair or balanced, my friends.

That is commercialsim and the pursuit of profits driving the news division.

I do watch Fox news occassionally. The Sunday morning show with Chris Wallace is particularly good. I don't watch the opinion programs of Hannity, Beck and O'Reilly, though - they are too predicable and phony in their outrage.

The issue affecting FOX news is that the loudest voices of the network are those of Hannity, Beck, O'Reilly and others who have opinion-oriented programming. Their voices drown out whatever fair and balanced reporting may go on in the news division; to the point where criticism of Obama and democrats (or negative reporting) by the news division appears to be a continuation of the opinion programs. Hence, the perception that FOX news (or the FOX network as a whole) is truly unbalanced.

NBC/ABC/CBS/CNN do not have personalities who are on AM radio every day (with their opinion programming) and who then follow on with talk shows in the evening. If FOX news division does have fair and balanced reporting, then it is unfortunately being drowned out by the opinion programs every evening .

To the point where many Amercians cannot tell where one program ends and the other begins.

Come on lighthouse, what is your problem with getting factual information to people? You obviously don't watch it, so how the hell can you have this hatred for it unless you are just taking your talking points from the morons telling you to do so?
