American Thinker - The democrats want to put the country into a nationalized health care system. The same type of system that fails every where it is tried. It is not about getting health care to everyone, it is about controlling the people. In every state that attempts to do this, the budget is destroyed and only a percentage of the people who are uninsured ever get coverage.

And... Please do tell us where on earth it works the way it is supposed to work? Tell me where the citizens live in health care Utopia.

There isn't one place where there isn't suffering. The thing about the US health care system is that all countries depend on us to bring new technologies and medicines to them. When the government runs everything, those evil companies will no longer produce those life saving things, and more suffering will be right around the corner.

Just because the government says there are people needing coverage and the fed is the only entity large enough to bring it to them, does not make it so.

And from all those countries people come here to get the best health care. Socialized health care in every country that has it means long waiting periods and rationed care. The taxes are all high to pay for it. Taxes are already causing the founders to spin in their graves.

The Maine system is a total failure. It is over budget ten fold, and only about 10% of the people needing coverage are getting it.
