Boehner stresses GOP big tent in wake of Scozzafava election Boehner stresses GOP big tent in wake of Scozzafava election

Submitted by Good Ole Boy | 3 weeks ago

The Hill - Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) shrugged off the notion Sunday that the Scozzafava shakeup in New York was a sign of growing backlash against moderates in the Republican Party while stressing the need to show conservative activists that the GOP was the party for them.

That is why they are having such a meltdown over this. The left doesn't want the people to actually get to have a say. The RNC there is as out of touch with conservatism as the dem party is. It's actually been funny to watch the left cry about the rep. big tent and not allowing someone like little miss scuzzy to carry the ticket. They are actively pushing to get rid of all the dem blue dogs and god forbid anyone claiming a "d" after their name does not goosestep to nancy and harry's little plan for destroying the economy. That big dem tent just will not tolerate any free thinkers or dissent, get in line or pay the price. Yet they think the conservatives are going to take advise from them. Just how delusional do you have to be to even be stupid enough to make those kinds of remarks to your political opposite??

The reason there was such a backlash against this candidate was two fold. One she was left leaning yes but the most important reason is she was not elected in a primary nor were the people in that district allowed to have any input on the person who was to represent them.

This would not be as big of a deal if she had won in a primary.

They still don't get it. He said he went to Tea Parties, he must not of listened to anyone. When he loses the primary his next election I wonder if it will sink in.
