Lex Lowther - Al Gore, the former US vice president, could become the world's first carbon billionaire thanks to his post vice presidential career as a global warming huckster and after incidentally investing heavily in green energy companies.

Last year Mr Gore's venture capital firm loaned a small California firm $75m to develop energy-saving technology. The company, Silver Spring Networks, produces hardware and software to make the electricity grid

No, AlGore put his money into funds and investments, then he manipulated the feeble minds of people like you into thinking that we are going to destroy the planet if we don't do the things to build his fortunes. He used the government to grow the seeds he planted into the billions he will be worth by fooling a bunch of green morons such as yourself.

Just think... If Gore had won that election the 2000 SC had decided to uphold voting law on... Today we could be fussing about a 1,9000 page bill to penalize each US citizen a $trillion dollars to muffle a cow's futz.

So, Mr. Gore had the fortitude to put his money where his mouth is, and the courage to risk his money to back ideas he truly believes in, and made a profit doing so. Good for him! This is good ol' American capitalism of the best kind, and any right-wing pundit that tries to make something of it is just a lemon-sucking hypocrite. Nothing is so sincere as "following the money". To me, this reinforces the already-positive view I had of this man's integrity. Just think how much better off we would be today if Bush had not been allowed to steal the election from him!
