Examiner - Yesterday at Fort Hood, disgruntled Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan murdered 12 soldiers and wounded 31 others before being shot and captured. These soldiers were entrusted to carry fully automatic, military assault rifles when deployed to Afghanistan, where the shooter was about to be sent. But in America, these same soldiers are disarmed when on base.

Sadly, that is where the gun grabbers want this debate to be, low on the totem pole. I agree completely. I know on my ship we had a gun go missing out of the armory one day. We would have been like sitting ducks if it were a guy going rogue. The ships defense force included about 15 men, but by the time they were locked and loaded, we could have gotten a major hit.

That being said, can you agree that there were signs this guy was proudly displaying that should have told the Army to keep a closer eye on him, or should we let the pc cops keep us off our guard?

So, no thoughts on how the army denies their own personnel the right to arm themselves, except in combat? No thoughts on how this murderer could have been taken out much faster and several lives spared if other soldiers had been armed?

Actually last time I checked the Military still uses the Firing Squad for executions. If I were able I would volunteer for the job.
