Jobless Recovery = No Recovery; unemployment at least 17.5% Jobless Recovery = No Recovery; unemployment at least 17.5%

NY Times - For all the pain caused by the Great Recession, the job market still was not in as bad shape as it had been during the depths of the early 1980s recession — until now. With the release of the jobs report on Friday, the broadest measure of unemployment and underemployment tracked by the Labor Department has reached its highest level in decades. If statistics went back so far, the measure would be at its highest since the Great Depression.

I submit well thought out comments that have actual meaning and you reply with nothing but mindless drivel. There is a massive irony in what you post, all of those things happened because of TOO MUCH government intervention. Not because there wasn't enough. If you don't have anything to actually add to the argument other than Socialists International talking points then I am done with you.

Yes, investing in a house. Those that bought houses within their means are still in those houses. Those that have jobs have health insurance, and even those without jobs can purchase private health insurance from a variety of plans. The truly impoverished are already on DSHS or other federal aid and thus do not need to pay for the health care they receive. Those of us who are employed subsidize them. Yes, capitalism works.

What does not work -- either in a capitalist model or other model -- is spending more than you have. This applies to consumers as well as to our government. (The latter of which seems to have forgotten this very basic rule.)

Capitalism is, quite simply, the People. It is their ability to invest in things that they feel are worth. Anything else is a distortion of the will of the people.

It's not the republican party alone that will reshape congress but it's the independents who see the costs that are being pushed to our children and grandchildren who are frightening these liberals.
Andrew Napolitano, is so right that congress does not give a rat's tail on what we really want, they just forge ahead because that is what they want. Imagine out 300 million people 85% have insurance and congress are willing to change EVERYTHING for the 15%. There are better ways to lower costs than making house hold changes but Nancy Pelosi is to stupid to fight for that. They Make me sick LET'S GET THEM OUT OFFICE

Too bad we aren't likely to get any real alternatives in 2010 into power. The Republican Party establishment seem to offering more of the same. I've read about Mr. Hoffman in New York. His views on foreign policy sounded like neocon drivel from Bush's textbook.

These big government advocates don't get it. They keep believing that obama's spend economics is going to turn this economy around. By the way if anyone wants to see what Mr Obama thinks of our constitution try to get a copy of his final 44 page paper written while he was at Columbia University. Then you can truly understand where he and his cohorts wants to bring this country. The elections in 2010 can't come soon enough!!!!!!!!!!
