Newsbusters - In a bleary-eyed opinion article in the Sunday Boston Globe (11/8/09), Harvard divinity professor Harvey Cox denounces religious "fundamentalism." In doing so, he places mass-murdering Muslims from the Middle East on the same playing field as conservative Christians from the United States.

No surprise here. In my professional life I had to deal with academia and almost every one there would turm out as an extreme liberal.
AND - where had the most atrocious authoritarian movements/regimes come from?
Italian faschists - ex-socialists; the Nazis - NSDAP - National Socialist Democratic Workers (Arbeiter) Party. and, finally, the monstrous Soviet regime (still missed by the liberals. My ex-partner, an ultra liberal Jew (a special breed of liberals. I am Jewish myself, so there is obviously not an antisemitic notion!), he said to me about the Resenbergs: so what that they passed to the Soviets our atomic secrets? The Soviets were our allies! Add to it Castro, Chaves - we can go on and on. Liberals always are dangerously close to fascism, very frequently without even realizing it. Though their leaders usually know it well. For them the "great" goal always justifies the means.
