Nor is it a "fix" for anything we d want.

Wow sounds like you should be preaching to liberals. What a contradiction. Very funny as well.
It's quick fixes by liberals and this administration that has the dollar down, unemployment up, tax to be up soon so unemployment will follow.
Remember when the people are in the streets the blood is on you heels for supporting a community organizer and a group of socialist.

It's 'quick fixes' that helped get us to where we are now. This obsession with entitlement, and immediacy, present gratification, is a human weakness that threatens our individual and collective futures.
Maybe remember what your pappy told you: 'no pain, no gain.' There are no shortcuts. Don't look for some easy way out.
Suck it up and try to show some discipline.
