Did your football team win this weekend? Mine didn't. I'm a Chicago Bears fan and they really stink. three weeks ago I was making Super Bowl plans now I'm looking at draft picks.
It's a typical fall day here in Chicago. Actually a little warm at 52 degrees.
How's your weekend going?

how does calling you out on plagarism make me stupid? youre such a loser and youre desperate to turn this around on anyone else but yourself.

honey? give me a break. why would i disagree with patriot watch? he wasnt the one that wrote it to begin with. i rather disagree with the author who constructed it, one who didnt use the "copy and paste" method. dems are original. we dont need to plagarise others to appear smart. we just rely on fool proof facts.

Your scaring me. Your not only on target but the target no longer exists.
Your obviously a independent with American values. I like to think of myself as an independent but I'm told by members that I am far right wing neo-con. I'm racist as a white man while raising my spanish son. They tell me because my son is spanish does not mean I'm not racist.
I'm a neo-con because I do not believe in liberal/obamcare. Thou there is probably a half dozen things my government could do tomorrow where republican opposition would be buried in a rubber coffin. Liberals on this site would like Obama and the rest of the treasonist fools to run our helth care instead of making AMERICAN policy to lower rates and improve the best system in the world.
As I experience the coldest temps in over 40 years in Chicago. While the rest of the world is sharing in my experience I'm labeled a capitalist pig on this site. While government officials and their entourages are flying the world in Jumbo Jets telling me we are killing the planet while feasting over red meat I'm wrong and the jerk off. Al Gore is making millions and liberals on this site are complaining about greed.
I could go on and on but I would bore you brother. We may not always agree but we are on the same page.
The two party system and the lack of term limits has destroyed our country.
Please go check out IronHeads profile. Ask him to be a friend. The other Americans will welcome you soon. The liberal socialist will be calling you all kinds of names before the day is long. One thing they will not call you is a Great American or Independent.
Welcome

The problem with Republicans is the party system itself. They have good conservative followers that believe less government is good government but a lot of the conservatives stop there. The party doesn't. The party wants the government to be involved in birth (the party's abortion stance) they want the government to be involved in religion and they seem to feel that we are the world's police (Vietnam, Korea, the Middle East). Sometimes this is obviously just to protect our supply of some resource and sometimes it's to protect our allies and although you have to help your friends at times and you have to protect your self-interests you can't do this at the peril of your own country.
I know a lot of you will disagree with me but Ron Paul was right when he said we brought 9-11 on ourselves. It doesn't excuse what those extremist wackos did but it explains why they did it. The US has been meddling in the Middle East for decades and it has made us some very dangerous enemies and hasn't resulted in one benefit for anyone but oil companies. We still pay through the nose for petroleum products and we still have that constant fear that the Middle East will cut us off and we'll have to park the Hummer and walk.
I suggest that it's time for a revolution. It's time to dump our two party system. No party can represent everything a voter believes in and since getting elected is the primary goal in any politician's plan they will say and do virturally anything to geet elected. I don't have to tell you how conservative the liberals are trying to convince us they are and how liberal the conservatives are trying to appear. They all try to appeal to all voters. So they either lie about what they believe in or support causes they don't believe in to get elected.
I suggest the reason we have this faulty "representitive" system is because either they want control of us and our money or they feel that the average citizen is too stupid to make important decisions. They are probably right in some cases but I believe when you put the decision out to the people the majority will use common sense, something the government has displayed little of, and reason will prevail. When the government spends our money we should get to vote on what they spend it on and how much they spend. A lobbiest might be able to buy a few politicians but let's see them send all of us on an all-expense paid trip to Hawaii on their private jet.
How do we accomplish this? You guys are smart, you tell me. I've got to take a break here, my reply is becoming a blog. I just know I'm tired of being asked to vote for the lesser of two evils.

I couldn't have said it better. I am self employed, when the government and/or the media make comments that starts the avalanche of economy downturns I have to start cutting back on buying, that hurts my suppliers, since I buy less I cut down on shipping and those related companies and therefore their employees suffer down the line. I'm not getting the discounts for buying in quantity and therefore my customers, who are retailers have to pay more and this in turn causes a whole new avalanche of reduced income, hiring etc.
The point is: it doesnt have to be real, it just has to be told to the public enough that they start believing it. That is what happens in campaigns. Obama and his group were the best at it so they won. Voters should be ashamed of themselves for casting a vote without bothering to dig into the manure pile and see what is substance and what stinks. For years I have heard the phrase: "Get out there on election day and do your duty as a citizen and vote!" In my opinion it shoud be: "If you don't have all the facts, don't make a decision. Vote only if you are sure you know what you are voting for." How big would that turn-out be?

I know a lot of you voted for President Obama. A lot of you voted for Democrats across the board. Whether you voted out of support for some specific policies, or because you liked his slogans, you need to learn one very valuable lesson from this election. Elections have consequences. You might have thought it would be cool to have a president who looks like you; or a president who is young, has a buff body, and speaks eloquently when there's a teleprompter in the neighborhood. Maybe you liked his promises to tax the rich. Maybe you believed his promise not to raise taxes on people earning less than a certain amount. Maybe you actually bought into his promise to cut taxes on millions of Americans who actually don't pay income taxes in the first place. Whatever the reason .. your vote had consequences; and here they are.
Bottom line? I'm not taking this hit alone. As soon as the Democrats manage to get their tax increases on the books, I'm going to take steps to make sure that my family isn't affected. When you own the business, that is what you're allowed to do. I built this business over a period of 23 years, and I'm not going to see my family suffer because we have a president and a congress who think that wealth is distributed rather than earned. Any additional taxes, of whatever description, that President Obama and the Democrats inflict on this business will come straight out of any funds I have set aside for expansion or pay and benefit increases. Any plans I might have had to hire additional employees for new stores will be put aside. Any plans for raises for the people I now have working for me will be shelved. Year-end bonuses might well be eliminated. That may sound rough, but that's the reality.
You're going to continue to hear a lot of anti-wealth rhetoric out there from the media and from the left. You can chose to believe what you wish .. ..but when it comes to Carrington Automotive you will know the truth. The books are open to any of you at any time. I have nothing to hide. I would hope that other small business owners out there would hold meetings like this one, but I know it won't happen that often. One of the lessons to be learned here is that taxes .... all taxes ... and all regulatory costs that are placed on businesses anywhere in this country, will eventually be passed right on down to individuals; individuals such as yourself. This hasn't been about admonishing anyone and it hasn't been about issuing threats. This is part of the education you should have received in the government schools, but didn't. Class is now dismissed.
