"If you're worried about, are you going to have to do 50 jumping jacks, the answer is yes," Emanuel told the interviewer, a reporter who was podcasting for the New York Daily News at the time.

One more thing . . . the 'X' amount seems to be a very flexible number. At first it was 300K, then 250K, then 200K, then 150K, and then 120K. And again, all of these number changes happened before the election. If Obama had passed on a single tax increase, I might be less skeptical, but since Obama has never ever voted against a tax increase, I fear my taxes will be going up even though I make way less than 100K currently.

Actually, he has talked about 'bankrupting the coal industry' with onerous fees. His buddies in congress are talking about taking away 401(k) plans and putting them into government managed plans. And yes, he is talking about raising taxes. All of this talk is even before he was elected. I wonder how much worse his real plans are now that he is taking office.

Rather than fight against the reality that Obama wants more taxes, more government intervention and a trillion dollars more in the government budget, and hence the term socialist-lite fits fairly well. Just accept what your fearless leader wants to do and jump on board. Perhaps when you file your taxes next year, you could check the box to pay more than you owe by 3-5% and leave us all a bigger tip. THANKS!

this gimmick again.. look he's talking about increasing taxes on people making over X amount of dollars a year by 3%.. 3% aint nothing. dont take it as a tax hike, take it as paying a bigger tip to the United States for giving you the opportunity to gain your wealth.

unless your that tightwad who doesnt leave good tips when he goes out to eat... then you're just un-american and we get to give you slow food service next time you come around.
