Problem is the campain 'professionals' are still convinced that the dirty tricks work. I think they only work with the supremely uninformed...which the majority of America is NOT no matter what people think. I mean how many people do you know who were swayed by a campain lie? I don't know any...all my republican friends are going McCain b/c of taxes alone basically...and most of my friends who like Obama are voting for him because of the economy, foreign policy (diplomacy over heavy-handed unilateralism), health care and schools.

I have to say that despite the dirty tricks, things could be worse. In some places of the world that we also call democracies, politicians get killed, supporters get beaten, women get raped, people rounded up and thrown into jail. And journalists became moving targets.

Shame; something that not only the press has been lacking but news anchors. When you have the coverage that has been so blatantly against John McCain; they continue to harass Sarah Palin with unbelievable stories. We have come along way since I was born back in 1923 . .so long, that I no longer recognize the country and its culture. Hard to understand.
