And now, deciding what Obama's election means And now, deciding what Obama's election means

Philadelphia Inquirer - With the election over, the battle over how to interpret the results has begun.

Was Democrat Barack Obama's decisive victory over Republican John McCain a realigning election signaling the end of the conservative era and the beginning of something new? Or was it merely a negative verdict on an unpopular president and a wounded economy?

What just happened is that mass-hysteria made the pendulum swing in the completely opposite direction. This country was designed by our forefathers to have the three branches of government fight with each other to limit the number of laws and regulations made into law. When you give one party all of the power only bad things can happen.

We saw what happened from 2001-2005 when the Republicans had power. I fear what the Democrats will do now that they not only have control of the White House and Senate, but also all of the liberty-destroying laws created by the Bush administration to build on.
