US News & World Report - We took a serious path in our postelection Whispers poll, and it seems readers are glad we did. Because it's the serious issues of rising healthcare costs and the plight of Social Security that they want President-elect Barack Obama to address after fixing the economy and ending the war. And so much for the energy crisis: Those polled put on the bottom of their agenda spending to develop new hybrid engine technology.

Amen! It is shameful that thousands of Americans have to declare bankruptcy every year because of the cost of health care. What other first world country has this arrangement?
