LA Times - His chosen topic - the sputtering economy - was guaranteed to dissolve any post-election euphoria.

Well, I just checked back and it seems I've lost the plot. I suggested to my wife that practising the occult really ought not attract devotion, but she said it was more a question of respecting our elders. That sounds thoughtless - unquestioning respect - but she had the good sense to marry me so I'll ponder it some more. Would still like to hear from others (other than the ctrl-v crowd). This place needs polls.

I will not give up my guns, bibles or will not allow a family memeber to join his goup of volunteers. We are conservative christians in this home and give time and money the best way, the amount of time and money, WE WANT!
So come and get me too. I'm right here.

It's not exactly what I was looking for in a leader. It was a stab at an ex-first lady. For your first time out as the man I would think a little bit more tack would of been better.
Instead of the jab I think AMERICANS would of been happier if he announced that he would persue Frank, Dobb and Pelosi for this Freddie & Fannie Mac disaster that brought down our country.
It won't happen because that is not the change that was voted in besides he was part of the Freddie and Fannie change.
This man has told us ALL what his plans and intentions are but the media did not cover that. God Bless your wife. She is rational and a thinker.

I will not submit to a mandatory volunteer program. You will most certainly have to lock me up cause it ain't happening.

No to socialism.... no to collectivism..

OK Wandler - here's a vote against 'the robotization of Barack Obama', which I am happy to second.

My wife is pretty upset at his comments about being a 'mutt' and thinks his dis of Nancy Reagan was over the line. I think we saw him being unfiltered, saying what he was thinking (cripes, I just said i spoke with *all* the former presidents, that sounds kinda funny) and acknowledging that his mixed race is not unlike the name we give to cross-bred dogs. He (like I) may be proud to be a mutt, so although I can see the problem I think the lack of varnish was a plus.

If I could make a poll on this site I would - were his comments offensive or charming? Help me here, folks.
