There is a difference between border patrol agents shooting someone who crosses the border and flees back - and a drug-smuggler they reasonably believed to be armed.
That said, they violated procedure when they pursued the fleeing scumbag.
Now I'm not saying these men deserve a pardon, as I don't know all the facts and I wasn't out in that field. It's possible the agent lied, shot the guy in the back, and never actually saw a gun. But let us call that what it is and stop making the drug smuggler look like the innocent victim who always tells the full and complete truth because the media wants to stir up controversy.
As for the larger border problem itself, I agree with you MrAmerica. This isn't a liberal or republican thing, it's politicians afraid to hurt the feelings of voters and constituents. Liberals will lose hispanic voters if they support it. Republicans will lose businesses who hire illegals if they support it. And in the meantime we have these guys on the border with apparently inadequate training who are told that they can't pursue fleeing suspects (Ridiculous!). It's time for our elected officials to stop playing the immigration game with kid gloves and get serious.

Again just goes to show peoples lack of history knowledge and how easily they forget the recent past. Not to mention what the media does to the doped up masses. Just a small picture of what presidents did before Bush. This is only pardons, it does not include commutations.

its not a liberal thing, im for cleaning up the border and think we need to sanction the companies that employee them too... which bush doesnt want to do. if you hire day labourers who are here illegally you're just as guilty as the illegals who are here.
that said, while im for cleaning it up, im not for shooting an unarmed man to death in the back... drunk or not. we're a better country than that.

The border will never be locked done until the people stand up and get mad. This is a liberal thing. If the world was run by Republicans it would of been done already.
