Senate Could Reject Illinois Appointment, Minnesota Victor Senate Could Reject Illinois Appointment, Minnesota Victor

FOX News - The disputed U.S. Senate race in Minnesota and the politically toxic appointment of a replacement to the Illinois seat being vacated by President-elect Barack Obama have left open the possibility that the legislative body could reject two would-be lawmakers.

While the scenario seems far-fetched, Article I, Section 5 of Constitution holds that "Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members."

Right on! He could even be the face of the jack a*s of the Democratic party. I don't believe the Senate would decide in his favor. The number of 60 senators to have a bullet proof majority has been over hyped. Many Blue Dogs vote with Republicans on fiscal issues. Now is not the time for politics as usual. It's time to get the mess the Democrats have put us in back in order. Let's not forget, the Do Nothing Congress of Nancy Pelosi for the past two years.

If Stuart Smalley becomes a Senator, at least we will have someone to make fun of for years. The only victim will be people from Minnesota who will have to deal with the ridicule. At least some of them will deserve it.
