The Next Wave of State Taxes The Next Wave of State Taxes

Submitted by The Maestro | 12 months ago

Wall Street Journal - State fiscal experts say the stage could be set for a wave of rises in state sales and personal-income taxes more widespread than any since the early 1990s.

"My view is that cuts will become significant and touch enough people that tax increases will be more viable than they have been in the past," says Scott Pattison, executive director of the National Association of State Budget Officers in Washington.

Chill Luke, I was just trying to use absurdity to illustrate the absurd. I'm with you 100%, profits employ taxes destroy. The notion that we can some how tax ourselves out of this mess is totally absurd. We will grow ourselves out.
Right now our National Debt is a bit more than 6%, that never makes the news, all the hand ringing left wing media that had us in a recession before last Christmas, have done major damage to our economy. The great thing about that is they are committing suicide in the progress, good bye NYT and all lefty newspapers that are going under!

He's right, this is the time to raise taxes, the Government under Obama will take care of all of us. Republicans only care for the rich, I don't believe the rich pay their fair share!
We wouldn't be in the mess we are in if we didn't have more government oversight and regulations, this was all engineered by Republicans, knowing in advance the consequences, you can bet their portfolio's and puts in place and they are doing quite well.
