I agree that their sentances should have been commuted, however I think Bush did the right thing in not pardoning the border patrol agents.

The sentence they received was imho to harsh. There were some seriously extenuating circumstances in this case. I do not believe by any shape or form that these two were innocent of the crime they were found guilty of. Losing their jobs and there livelyhood was enough considering the circumstances of the case.

I'm not middle US, but you can't just drive into the state (Hawaii). With an ocean to separate us from everyplace, we're an island of immigrant faces. But illegal entrance isn't a problem, that I know of.

Whether we're close to the problem areas or not, illegal entrance affects US all. Federal funds pay for the many illegal activities. Those here illegally use our freedoms to organize against US, such as LaRaza.
