Minn hasn't had a second senator for a while... do they really need one? Haha... kidding.

Well I guess we could always give her the right to vote twice? ;-)

As one who currently lives in Minnesota, I would like to see the governor appoint someone right now while the Coleman/Franken fight is in court and we only have one Senator. The people deserve two Senators, especially in this economic time and massive spending bills are coming to the floor. Long term though I do say appointees should only serve a year, until a special election can be held.

Wonder why he didn't get alarmed when Blago named one? They are all a bunch of whores, willing to vote for the biggest bidder, the voter be damned.

Actually, I believe Feingold started this process following the Blagoyejich scandal. I may disagree bitterly with Feingold on certain issues, but I respect the man. He's the only senator who voted against the Patriot Act and the War in Iraq.

Too bad he co-authored the horribly anti-free speech McCain-Feingold CFR.

I'm all for the popular vote. This shouldn't be discussed just voted on in congress.
