→ I agree. I know that there have been examples cited that previous winners were awarded the prize on "potential". This is irrelevant in my view. Actions will always speak louder than words.
→ The concern I had at the time was that his record as a public representative didnt merit his election to the worlds most powerful political office. It would appear that talking the talk is enough to get you elected as opposed to walking the walk.
→ I would have to agree. There can be no excuse for lack of understanding on certain issues. While i havent seen the movie and cant really comment on that, the point that you make about peoples apparent preference for the bland is fair.
