Most of the latin friends I have are democrats and they are poor, and the ones that are republicans are better off why can some one tell me why ???

Its the other way around. Those Latin Americans are likely Republicans BECAUSE they're well off. Income has a very strong affect on party identification, usually because of taxes or the types of jobs held by those who make more money. Typically, Latin Americans have a lower income and therefore have a more liberal ideology and identify with the Democratic Party, just based on demographics. Of course all of this is general, and cannot be applied to all Latin Americans. Also, only people in the highest income brackets are more likely to identify themselves as Republicans than Democrats.
