Much like a kidney stone, a government health care bill will eventually pass...when is anyone's guess. Right now health care is the only sector booming and politicians are aware of that and aren't likely to hamper it (or at least not intentionally do anything to muck it up).
LEX
A lot of expense is from doctors practicing Defensive Medicine, which could be alleviated by tort reform, but as far as I know that isn't proposed. There are many aspects of health care to be reformed.
If healthcare is a right, do congressmen have a right to superior health care?
On what basis do you say healthcare is a right?
There is no doubt that some kind of healthcare reform is necessary. Right now the insurance and pharmaceutical companies are making out like bandits and the charges laid on us by the hospitals, emergency rooms and doctors are completely out of line and designed to make people rich. Healthcare is a right not a privilege.
i highly doubt the bill will be passed within the next two years and find it unrealistic that the majority voted never. if obama keeps pushing and dems still have the majority in congress, then it will definitely go through. maybe with revisions but it will be passed.
Very wise response and Ido agree with you 100%.
Reform is needed in Health Care but it is the " WHAT and the HOW WE WILL DO IT " that is the big Problem !!!
Which regime will implement benefits?
I think that whatever is telling you that, is telling you right. Why do you use the word regime?
something tells me that if a benefit is added something will be subtracted either by taxes or through benefits implemented by the regime
There are lot's of ways we can make our health system better. Starting with investing in our future doctors. Simply more of them. Increase Grants and loans to kids choosing pre-med. Employer incentives for good lifestyle living. And allowing insurance companys to sell across state lines to decrease costs. But government is never the solution. This will make rationing inevitable.
I am utra excited about the government take over. there will be NO reform but a totlaly new health care sytem ran by the people who have destroyed this country.
80% of the people do not want government involved but liberals know better and will do it anyway. There is no way in GODs earth that this nazi will get re-elected unless ACORN can do a better job of cheating.
People will have less options, higher taxes, higher national debt and lacking services but ALL illegals will get care at the expense of the people and good doctors will leave in droves.
You should check the definition of reform and change your words to "I support government ran health care."
There is ZERO reform in the bill.
reform would be breaking state barriers, single payer system etc. None of that is in the bill.
It should of read "when will Liberal Government Health Care pass?" Instead we get the POLITICS.com spin

I don't think people disagree that we need reform......It is how the reform is done is the argument. Reply to bco2rgr

I agree totally with you...It is How it is done...and government control is not the answer and I Pray that it Never happens that way...or we, the people are in trouble...and our children. Why would I want the government controlling my health care when they can't control anything....lol...
