Why don't you take a gander at the many health issues that we get from coal and oil burners. I am willing to bet that there are many more deaths caused by that.

What about the Bakken formation? That and offshore oil could solve our oil needs for many years. If cap and trade doesn't banrupt us first.

Chernobyl was bad yes, but it was because of poor russian design and construction and poor training. The closest we came was three mile island and it wasnt even close. Sure there are dangers but what other options do we have at this point? Lots, but nuclear is by far the most powerful and one of the safest.
