I see Bernie the Goat Madoff and AIG in the news all the time, but why isn't Allen Stanford a household name? He should be the talk of all Mainstream Media! All I can find is a near puff-piece here.
Where is the outrage? This guy stole bilions and is getting a free ride. Maybe it is because he has all of DC in his pocket.

Hi, I am the Treasury. I gave billions of dollars to Banks for this handy TARP program. Since then, people have noticed messed up stuff like recipients who lost billions paying out millions in bonuses, or paying for million dollar meetings with Cheryl Crow as entertainment.
Yah, that is awkward..I mean kinda- not really. I don't care...LOL & ROTFLMAO BTW!
Know what's worse? I am part of an administration that emphasizes "transparency." But, here is the kicker..I don't have to tell anyone anything about where all this money is going!
There is even some "overseer" lady from Harvard who is in charge of monitoring what I am doing..and now she is getting all up in my grill for not giving out any information! She-dont-know ME! Ha just kidding, I am not mad. You can check how this crazy lady is trying to get all up in my bizness here.

Tim Geithner's new nominee for number two at the Treasury Department, Neal Wolin, played a key role in drafting legislation in the late 1990s deregulating the banking system, a former Treasury Department official confirms to us. The law that Wolin helped draft has been blamed by some critics, many of them Democrats, for easing up regulatory pressure on huge financial institutions, tangentially helping create today's mess -- and his role drafting it could come under questioning at his upcoming confirmation hearings. ... Stuart Eizenstat, a deputy Treasury secretary under Bill Clinton, confirmed that as Treasury's general counsel at the time, Wolin "provided the technical and legal drafting" for the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.

Aw heck, I don't care about the amount. If Joe Banker gets X amount of money in relation to his salary or revenue, that is not my problem..
No one cared about the amount of money that Barry Bonds made, and he was a cheater just like the jaggoffs at the banks. But...we did know that Barry "The Cheating Cheater Just like Wall Street" Bonds had a name and a face So, I sure as heck better know the name of some asswipe from Scarsdale who receives as bonus, paid for by the Federal Government. In other words, there should be a list of people who receive these government bonuses, along with the amounts. I wanna know.
Yeh sure, it is not fun knowing that Federal Money is going to be used for Little Cody's karate lessons or monthly dues at the Edgartown Marina or for some blow in the parking lot of Jet East in The Hamptons or whatever. That's all fine if these banker Wall Street people want to pat themselves on the back while they drive in government-funded Land Cruisers. I will just wink and say 'your welcome. ' But don't come to me with a straight face, you used car salesman in Brooks Brothers, and tell me I shouldn't know your name. Wake up and smell the coffee..along with the fact that you are now a joke!
