About me
I am a student at a major university in Texas I have several concerns over the state of the nation and the direction it seems to be headed in I think that one of the most pressing issues at hand, involve the bipartisian system of governement, the convulsive and self-destructive infighting involved on Capital Hill is absolutely abhorrent. |

| Political Role Models FDR As of late I am a supporter of President Obama, I am very eager in seeing how this certain presidency plays out. The difficulties facing Pres. Obama when he first entered office were staggering, as such I must root for the underdog on this one, and I hope they were feeding him the best puppy chow because we need a strong leader for tough times | |

We need a little disagreement from time to time. We need to argue to get things done. If we all just "got along"nothing would ever get done.North Korea and Cuba just get along and they are opressive hell holes.

"What could be done in the Obama administration to better preserve citizen's rights?" Well, first and foremost, the administration needs to preserve the rights we already have. The constitution, and most specifically, the bill of rights were put there for a reason. There have been several things that the Obama administration has put forth that would destroy many of the rights we now hold, or at least redefine them in a way that would be catastrophic (and the Bush administration did this too, just to a slightly less degree)- bills that would destroy our 1st, 13th, and the 4th most recently have been put forth. Once we have secured those I hope that we can move on to not taking away, but adding to those rights. I think you should be able to do anything that does not affect another individual's rights. What about you? How do you feel about how rights can be preserved? -Danielle www.theyreallliars.com The mostly political blog that isn't Republican or Democrat.

you had asked if I could post about the abortion issue on my blog- sure, I can do that, maybe not right away, but I will work on one, and I will send you the link, absolutely! And this I'll say right now- I am not intending to offend you or anyone else, I just don't hold abortion to the same standards as I would murder or child abuse. And when all the children that are born are 100% wanted, you tend to have less child abuse. I'm just saying that I would rather a fetus die than a child abused for life to then grow up and abuse their children (and I will admit that I may be a bit biased as I have worked with so many abused and at risk children, but it really does break my heart to see it happen). That's the answer in a nutshell and I will of course write a blog about it and send the link- thank you for the suggestion :). Have a great day! -Danielle www.theyreallliars.com The mostly political blog that isn't Republican or Democrat.
